As you make your way to the Hike-To campsites, you'll be surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest, with tall trees and a winding trail leading you toward your destination just a 1/4 hike uphill. Arriving at our campsite, you'll immediately be struck by the serene atmosphere, surrounded by over 300 acres of unspoiled land on an east-facing mountainside. While there may not be expansive landscape views from the campsite, the natural beauty of the forest is all around you offering a sense of peace and tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere.A short walk from your tent site will take you to the brook where you can take in the sights and sounds of the water flowing over the rocks. A peaceful and relaxing spot to unwind and soak up the beauty of nature.And if you're visiting during the fall months, you'll be treated to a stunning display of fall foliage as the leaves on the trees turn shades of red, orange, and gold, creating a truly breathtaking scene that's not to be missed!The charming town of Rochester is just a short walk from The Landing making it the perfect place to explore during your stay. Tentrr is a trusted partner of BookOutdoors.A secluded campsite nestled in the mountains of Vermont, come enjoy the fresh air, nature, and babbling brooks that surround the site. Sit around the fire and enjoy the stars and fireflies or snuggle up next to the woodstove on chilly evenings. Visit Roaring Ridge, a hidden paradise (in photos) with breathtaking views of the mountains in NH.Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and walking on the many trails and dirt roads that surround the site. Kayaking and fishing are just a short drive away.Take a day trip to Stowe for shopping and dining and visit Ben and Jerrys ice cream factory on the way. The drive is beautiful and you will get a great flavor for Vermont and its beautiful landscape. We provide many free extras to take the hassle out of packing. Plates, glasses and utensils, a gas grill, basic cookware, a lantern for the tent and firewood for the woodstove along with other camping essentials. There is an additional 4 person tent that is available upon request and is easy for you to set up. Bedding is provided and you can choose your theme: bear, moose, cabin (see pics for selection). The bed has a feather top mattress for added comfort. If you prefer to bring your own bedding, we will provide a mattress cover and bottom sheet.We are completely off-grid but do have an outdoor shower which is powered by a generator. You are welcome to use it and there are clear instructions for using the generator and setting up the shower. There's nothing like having a hot shower after a day of hiking. We also offer an outhouse which is very clean and dedicated to the Tentrr site. The Loo is still available upon request. Groton State Forest with its many hiking, biking and swimming options is just a short drive away. We will also provide you with the many options for local food and entertainment. There are several farms close to the site that provide pizza night, music and local foods, a great Vermont experience.
