It looks up to a huge hill that we hay in the summer, and is just a short walk to our 3 acres of pick your own high bush cultivated blueberries, available during the hot summer months. There are also a few trails to hike. Both sites have canvas tents, 2 Adirondack chairs and a deck. A short 20 minute drive and you will end up at the town of Springfield, MA which will offer an abundance of activities for you to do if hanging out at the campsite is not what you want to do. With plenty of museums, parks, local restaurants and cafes, and even the basketball hall of fame, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Two developed areas, Copake Falls and Rudd Pond, offer an extensive trail system with terrain that varies from easy to challenging, offering spectacular views. This double campsite is located at Rudd Pond with a great view of the lake! Rudd Pond offers swimming and boat rentals on the weekends and holidays. Its also a great place to go fishing. Bike or stroll along the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, hike to Bash Bish Falls, just over the Massachusetts border or up Brace Mountain, the highest point in Dutchess County. Stop at the newly created Iron Works museum to learn about the iron industry at the former site of Copake Iron Works, established in 1845.You can also visit the Copake Falls area of the park (about 10 miles to the north) which offers swimming opportunities at a designated swimming area with a dock in Ore Pit Pond and at the adjacent kiddie pool. The small but deep Ore Pit Pond is a popular destination due to its excellent water quality. Swimming is permitted when lifeguards are on duty-- floatation devices are not allowed. Fresh water fishing enthusiasts will delight in hooking brown trout and other fish in the Bash Bish Brook or rainbow trout in the old iron ore mine pit.Your double campsite at Taconic State Park accommodates up to 12 campers with two safari tents and 2 pop-up tents. Each 10' x 12' Safari platform tent has a Queen bed and up to 4 additional campers can fit in the included pop-up tents. For parents with toddlers or young children, the spacious canvas tent can fit a pack-n-play or even a twin air mattress next to the Queen bed. The Queen bed is outfitted with a 5" memory foam mattress. No linens or pillows are provided - so please bring bedding and if you plan to use the pop-up tent, mats or air mattresses are recommended for comfort.Your Tentrr site also has a picnic table with a prep station, two Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit with grill top.
