Visit the Creekside Camp in the Whitewater Preserve to experience your private state park views and picnic areas ideal for a couples retreat, friend's get-togethers, and family getaways. You can also experience beautiful trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, canoeing, kayaking, zip-lining, rock-climbing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and whitewater rafting within a 30-minute drive. This secluded Creekside Camp offers the Tentrr signature package with fully equipped campsite amenities. We have an extended deck area with benches, a table, and a cooking space. We also included the following complimentary amenities for your stay: a comforter, bedding set, pillows, side tables, lanterns, a storage table, filtered drinking water, a couple of water storage containers, a 2-burner propane stove, double-sided grill/griddle cast iron combo, firewood and fat-wood, cookware set, kettle with coffee mugs, cutting board, grill tools, cutlery, dish towels, and mittens. You can also spend quality time with your family, friends, and dear ones in the picnic area next to the creek. There are smooth stone perches by the stream for picnicking and basking in the sun. The Creekside Camp is just a 15-minute drive off the I-68, a 1.5-hour drive from Pittsburgh, PA, and around a 3-hour drive from Washington D.C., Baltimore, MD, and Columbus, OH. Please note parking is 10ft-15ft away from the site. We have a couple of designated parking places with blue driveway markers.

The park covers 300 acres of land and is home to a wide variety of wildlife and plants. It is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities for hiking, fishing, camping, and more.One of the main features of Big Run State Park is the Big Run itself, which is a scenic and winding stream that flows through the park. The stream contains native brook trout and is a popular spot for fishing. There are also several hiking trails in the park that offer beautiful views of the stream and surrounding forests. The Tentrr sites at Big Run are within walking distance of the Upper Savage River and Savage River Reservoir, which are stocked with trout several times a year. The Reservoir permits trolling motors only; gasoline engines must be removed from the boat before launching. Please note that swimming is prohibited in the Reservoir.There are 6 Tentrr Sites at the State Park. Each Tentrr campsite is furnished with a pre-set canvas wall tent on a wooden deck. There is a queen bed frame and memory foam mattress and two side tables inside the tent. Campers also have two Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, a dry storage box and fire pit at their campsite. CAMPERS MUST BE BEAR AWARE. There is a black bear population in Big Run State Park. All food and trash must be stored in your vehicle at ALL TIMES. Campers must take their trash with them upon departure - there are no trash disposal facilities available at Big Run. Failure to follow this rule will result in an additional cleaning fee.

The valley is alive with history, culture, breweries and wineries to explore within a 15 to 25 minute drive. Our property currently has two Signature camping sites which each include a canvas tent, a queen mattress, a table and chairs. Sites are approximately 200 yards apart. This allows each camper their own privacy but also gives families and friends a location to enjoy within walking distance of each other. (Sites cannot be seen from one another.) In addition to the onsite amenities, the following will also be provided: Coleman camp stove (includes gas), fire wood, pillows, sheets and blankets for one queen size bed and lanterns. Not provided: kayak, fishing gear or bikes.

The long, paved driveway, winds through rhododendrons and hardwood forest before it gives way to rolling meadow and open sky. Perched at the top of a grassy ridge line you'll find your cozy campsite. A place to escape from your every day and enjoy a slower, quieter pace. The front deck is the perfect place to take in the sights and sounds of nature, the sunrise, the starry nights, the deer grazing and the birds singing.Please feel free to explore the property, there are paths and trails throughout. There is a small playground and tree swing that you are welcome to use. Learn how we use regenerative practices to produce meat that is healing to the consumer, the community, and the planet-- or just hide away, enjoying the clean air, fresh spring water, and lovely views.Our Tentrr Signature Site is nestled toward the top of a hill between wild elder and ancient apple trees, where tiny wild strawberries and sweet-tart blackberries grow. From the top of the hill you can look over much of our 60 acre farmstead, on which we work with the land and each other to produce organic fed, pasture raised chicken, eggs and pork and 100% grassfed lamb and beef. 4WD/AWD is required to drive to the site, or park at the bottom by the barn and take a short walk up the fairly steep hill. We're happy to assist with carrying your luggage using our ATV. Because our site can provide everything you need, you only need to bring your food, your clothes and a sleeping bag!(To prevent damage to the land, vehicle access to the site is restricted to when the ground is dry.)Our Tentrr contains a queen bed. Additional 6-person pop up tent is available for extra bodies. No pets are allowed due to the working nature of our farm. Our farm is just 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, and a great place to stay and relax if you have business in the area.

Our campsites are on the historic Hinton-Alderson Airport and overlook the scenic Greenbrier River. Only an hour and 15 minutes drive away from New River Gorge National Park. Look under Extras to see local amenities such as kayaking, tubing, and canoeing. We have 3 sites at the airport, Cub, Stearman, and Skyhawk. There are over 100 yards between the sites, so your privacy is guaranteed! Firewood is on-site for the firepit/grill. The front of the tent faces the river, and the porch provides a scenic spot to watch the river flow! The Greenbrier River is a great place to fish for smallmouth bass. You can obtain a fishing license online by going to https://www.wvhunt.com. The airport does not have fuel, but KLWB has fuel, rental cars, a 7000-foot runway, and is only 18 nautical miles away! Also close to the KLWB airport is a fabulous WV Distillery (Smooth Ambler). If you fly into camp, you can get a rental car at KLWB and easily get to white water rafting and other outdoor adventures at New River Gorge National Park. But if you want to stay local, there are several rafting companies that will provide you with a variety of watercraft, pick you up at the airport, and drop you off at a put-in location. They will meet you at the end of your float and return you to the airport! See the Extras tab for their names and numbers! The campsite is situated on a beautiful flowing creek. The creek bed is a mix between large mountain stones and smaller river stones of various colors, including blue quartz and sand.Across the river, you can explore the rockwork foundation of what used to be an old mill or enjoy playing in the seven-acre hayfield. The area is graced with an abundance of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, and the occasional black bear.There are also friendly miniature goats, chickens, and ducks that are raised on the land and located by the owner's 1797 farmhouse. Come and enjoy life in an area where time is kept in seasons, berry season, cherry season, peach season, apple season, etc. Directions to local pick-your-own orchards and berry patches are available as requested. And while it might be hard to pull yourself away from this cozy campsite, we do recommend a drive along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway (less than ten minutes away) or take a hike up one of the many mountain trails located close by in the national forest. Most importantly, we hope and pray you will enjoy your stay.
