Top of The WorldWe sit at 9400 FT. along the 69 mile scenic Beartooth Highway (US 212) which is designated as an All-American Road. It is 38 miles from Red Lodge, Montana and 25 miles from Cooke City, Montana (which is 6 miles from the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park.) This stretch of the highway is open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. It is deemed "America's most beautiful roadway" by Charles Kuralt of CBS news.The store was built on Beartooth Lake and moved to its present location in the early "60s". It is located on the Shoshone National Forest, which has ample amounts of camping, hiking, 4- wheeling, and fishing opportunities through the summer season. When the highway closes in October, the recreation changes to ice fishing, snowmobiling (some years through May) X-country skiing, snow shoeing, and snow boarding.

Park County FairgroundsThe Park County Events Department provides county properties as venues for community events, fundraisers, benefits, company parties, weddings, family celebrations, and private gatherings. The department works and coordinates with various individuals and groups on their respective events. In addition, the Events Department works in conjunction with the Park County Fair Advisory Board to plan and produce the Park County Fair held every year the last full week in July.The Events Department offices are housed at the Park County Fairgrounds located in Powell which is in the Northwest corner of Wyoming. Powell is 75 miles east of Yellowstone National Park and 98 miles south of Billings, Montana. Lying between the Big Horn Mountains on the east and the Absaroka Range on the west, clear blue skies, clean air, a pleasant temperate climate, and loads of sunshine make the Powell Valley a great place to live and visit. The Park County Fairgrounds are centrally located in Powell and make a perfect spot to host any sized event or gathering. The 20 acre, 9-building fairgrounds feature paved and lighted parking as well as large open grassy spaces.We have several different areas and buildings for rent. If you have an event to put on, we have what you need to make it a success. Big or small, indoors or outside, we have the space to fit your needs and can accommodate events of every size. Year-round camping (electric only camping in off season) is also available at the fairgrounds.

Our spacious 30′ x 60′ pull-through RV sites are equipped with full hookups and picnic tables. We offer campfire pits, laundry facilities and clean bath/shower facilities. It’s the perfect home base for exploring the historic town of Cody and an hour away from the east entrance to the famed Yellowstone National Park. You’ll love sitting and relaxing by a nice fire underneath the beautiful starry sky and being lulled to sleep by the sound of the running river. If you’re the adventuresome type, you can catch your own dinner. Our tipi camping guests may try their hand at fishing the river, on your own or with a guide. Since the property is a trout hatchery, our RV site guests may fish without a license in our catch out pond where catching a trout is guaranteed! RV site guests must pay for trout by the pound caught; we clean and bag them. Great for the young and old alike; all equipment is provided for pond fishing. We are open from mid-April through September. Leashed pets are welcome.
