The story of The Peak becoming what is today begins with two determined and hardworking people crossing paths in 1998. Mark, a native from Oklahoma, and Cecilia from California, started their journey together and after 25 years of marriage and blessed with five kids, nine horses, seven dogs, more than 30 chickens and 7 grandsons, (not all at once!). They have built the Peak from the ground up for people to enjoy while on vacation or to simply have a place to stay while working in the area for some time. Times were not always simple, and the road was not easy for The Peak through some years. 2008 proved to be one of the toughest years for the park when the housing market dropped to an all-time low. Mark and Cecilia remained resilient and determined to achieve and share what The Peak has become today. Mark and Cecilia take great pride in their work and have the privilege of providing camping spaces for people that come from all over the United States. The toughest part of being owners is having to say goodbye to so many great people when they leave.
