Please do not leave your pet unattended or tied up while you are away from Sugarbush Campground. Please do not allow your dog to bark or otherwise disturb campground guests. The nearby town of Salida has numerous options available for doggie daycare and pet sitting. Please do not allow your pets into the restrooms.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Fireworks

Ground Fireworks

BB Guns

Firearms

TRASH

A bear-resistant dumpster is on-site for all normal campsite trash. Please flatten or break-down any boxes or similar trash you will be putting in the dumpster. We must conserve dumpster space as much as possible because trash removal is a luxury in these beautiful mountains.

CAMPFIRES

Firewood is available in the office for purchase. Please drown campfires before leaving your campsite or when finished with them. Please do not cross property lines to gather wood. We will be around to empty overflowing fire pits.

ETIQUETTE

Please keep camp and RV sites clean. Store any and all edibles and drinkables in vehicles and/or certified bear-proof containers. Observe quiet hours, be courteous to your fellow campers, and generally, be cool.

STREAM

Please do not block the flow of the stream by adding additional rocks or debris to the watercourse. Please do not rearrange rocks on the bank, and do not put anything into the stream that could be lost as it flows away to eventually join the river.

CAMP SINK

Sinks are located in launderette and by the bath houses (May - September). Please do not leave any trash or food scraps in the sink, and please do not dispose of any trash or food scraps down the drain. Sugarbush relies on a septic system that can be damaged by inappropriate debris, and these items can also attract bears and other wild animals. Please don't dispose of any trash or food scraps in the flowerbeds in the campground.

NO VEHICLE WASHING

Sugarbush utilizes a water well, and we must conserve this precious resource wherever possible. Rainbow Car Wash on Hwy 50 in Salida is located just east of Walmart and has large washing stalls. They accept credit cards for payment. Be aware that you must back out of the wash stalls into the entrance area to leave the car wash.

INTERNET ACCESS

Wi-Fi is available in the campground and requires the password, which you will receive when checking in. We are as technologically advanced as our location allows, and up here in the mountains, we also conserve bandwidth. To ensure that all of our guests have access, we ask that you do not stream videos. You can text, email, or surf the web, but we remind you that being outside and experiencing the surrounding area, and all that it has to offer, is usually way more fun!

CELL PHONE SERVICE

Cell phone service is spotty at best in Sugarbush Campground. There is typically a weak AT&T signal. In case of emergencies, there is a land line available. Please do not hesitate to use it if necessary. Please note that Wi-Fi calling and texting works well on our wireless network.

ADDITIONAL POLICIES

Sugarbush Campground is not responsible for damages caused by accident, vandalism, or acts of God. Sugarbush Campground is not responsible for any vehicular collisions or damage. All guests are encouraged to take all precautions to secure their belongings. Sugarbush Campground is not responsible for accidents or injuries. If two reasonable complaints are lodged with Sugarbush Campground, then we have the right to ask the site occupants to leave without any refund. Sugarbush has the right to refuse service to anyone.
