Story's RV & Horse Campground is a newer Campground, nestled in the Ozarks along the banks of the spring fed Story’s Creek. Our location is at the beginning of Alley Springs Trail Head and Docs Mountain Trail on Tom Akers/CR 19/305 Road. There are close to 300 miles of trails that wind through forest, across creeks and rivers that are available for you to explore to your heart's content!!

PLEASE HAVE YOUR COGGINS PAPERS & HEALTH CERTIFICATE (IF COMING IN FROM OUT OF STATE)

The State of MO requires every horse and mule traveling in MO to have a current NEGGATIVE COGGINS TEST and out of state animals will also need a 30 day health certificate. MO requires that a coggins test be run annually to be current. You will be required to provide documents before registration at Story's Creek Campground. Do not tie animals to trees! Absolutely NO racing or rough riding allowed in campground. We require all manure cleaned out of stalls or campsite and be placed in designated area. MISSOURI EQUINE LAW 537.325: UNDER MISSOURI LAW, AN EQUINE ACTIVITY SPONSOR, AN EQUINE PROFESSIONAL, A LIVESTOCK ACTIVITY SPONSOR, A LIVESTOCK OWNER, A LIVESTOCK FACILITY, A LIVESTOCK AUCTION MARKET, OR ANY EMPLOYEE THEROF IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE OR LIVESTOCK ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES AND NO PARTICIPANT SHALL MAKE MAINTAIN AN ACTION AGAINST AN EQUINE OPERATOR.

Pet Friendly Campground:

(But no aggressive dogs allowed.)

Please keep your pet on a leash at all times. If you LEAVE your pet in camp, please do not leave your pet outside while your gone. It must be put IN your trailer. Be sure to clean up waste from your pet.

CAMPERS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO PICK STALLS DAILY AND STRIP PRIOR TO LEAVE OUT.
