The Sinclair Lewis Campground is a 27.2 acre specialized recreational area located near downtown Sauk Centre on the Northwest side of the community. The campground is located east of Hickman Drive along the South shore of Sauk Lake. Sinclair Lewis Park borders the campground on the east side. The campground is open for the season from May 1st to October 1st each year, weather permitting.
The campground currently has 80 sites, 52 sites with full hookup which include water, sewer and electricity and 24 sites with water and electricity only and 4 primitive sites. All campsites contain a fire pit. Three sets of restrooms are contained within the campground with showers. Other amenities include: picnic tables, storm shelter, dump station, fish cleaning house, kayak rental, lake access with boat ramp and docks. Public beach, splash pad, bike trail, and playground adjacent.

House rules for a happy stay
Policies
Cancellations are refundable minus the cost of one night.
Rules & regulations
Campers must check in at office prior to occupying site.
Checkout time is 12:00 pm on the day of departure. Please make arrangements prior to
10 am if staying an extra night.
Camp at numbered sites only.
Units must be parked in designated parking spaces only with the location approved by the Campground Manager.
One unit allowed per site, per Stearns County. (Exception: The minor children of the site renters are allowed to sleep in a tent on the site.) No children under 10 years of age are allowed at the site without adult supervision.
Occupancy based upon two adults with minor children per site.
Two vehicles per site maximum in addition to camping unit. Boats, trailers etc. are considered a vehicle and must be parked off the site (golf carts excluded).
Units must maintain a 10-foot clearance from other units per Stearns County.
Maximum length of unit that can be accommodated for is 40 feet.
All animals must be leashed & thoroughly cleaned up after and not left unattended.
11:00 p.m. curfew. QUIET TIME!
Campfires in designated fire rings only. Only certified firewood may be used, which can be purchased on site or from a local certified vendor.
DO NOT leave fire rings unattended, extinguish before leaving.
Fish cleaning in Fish Cleaning House only. A $3.00 donation is recommended to use the Fish Cleaning House.
Light strings and clotheslines must be hung at a minimum of 8 feet for safety.
When checking out, all items must be disposed of, including but not limited to: carpets, rugs, blocks, lumber, firewood, lawn ornaments etc.
Decks are permitted on seasonal sites only. Entry rugs placed on the ground at any site must be removed when unoccupied. Help save the grass!
No gray and/or black water disposal on the ground. A $5.00 fee is recommended for use of the dump station.
Rugs and gazebos must be moved every three days to save the grass.
Internet provided by an independent provider (Gardonville) with a variety of plans to choose from.
Boats
* Docks are available free of charge to campers and guests.
* Save our Shore. ABSOLUTELY NO SHORE ANCHORING of boats along shoreline.
* Please don't trample the grass along the shore.
Pets
* Pets are allowed; however, they must be leashed and thoroughly cleaned up after.
* Pets cannot be left unattended.
Tent Guests
If you are visiting the campground for three or more days, please move your tent one tent-length on your third day.
Children
Parents are responsible at all times for their children’s safety and behavior. Please supervise small children in showers and restrooms, and do not allow children to play in the roadway.
