Tucked under several large, mature, peaceful shade trees, Shade Acres Campground and Cottages is located on Catawba Island, Ohio, with several rentals available for you and your family to enjoy. Our family-owned campground is clean, quiet, and perfect for your entire family, including the dog (excluding vicious breeds)! Just remember the leash and scoop!
For the avid fisherman, we’re just a stone’s throw from the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, the Walleye fishing capital of the world! We’re surrounded by several marinas, bait shops, boat ramps, and docks. Fish cleaning and freezer service is even offered on-site. Located just minutes from The Miller Ferry and Jet Express, for easy access to the Islands.
Don’t have a RV of your own? No problem! Stay in one of our air-conditioned beautiful cottages or, for a larger group, sprawl out in our 4 bedroom rental house or 26-person bunkhouse.

What a great solution to your group lodging needs! Our bunkroom sleeps up to 20 people in air-conditioned comfort. Your group rental includes TV with local channels, microwave, and air conditioning. Outside are picnic tables and fire rings for your evening campfire.
Bring your sleeping bags! Linens are not provided. On-site shower facilities are available.
Rate listed includes 8 people. Additional $15 per person (20 person max).

Policies
One night non-refundable deposit required on all RV overnight sites. Cottages require a half down deposit, balance due upon arrival. Deposit is non refundable if cancellation is 30 days or less from check in date.
The speed limit is 5 mph. No minibikes, scooters, or golf carts are permitted in the park.
Only two pets per site. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, barking controlled. Dogs must be walked in designated areas away from sites. Please clean up after your pet. Dogi-pot bags are available throughout the park for your use.
Campfires are permitted only in the designated campfire rings. Please do not move the fire rings. No cutting of trees. Violators will be evicted. Campfires out at 1:00 am.
All visitor vehicles must park in overflow parking area.
Check-out time is 11:00 am. Please notify the office by 10 am if you need a later checkout.
Quiet time is from 11 pm to 8 am. Please observe it.
Unruly behavior, disorderly conduct, or illegal drug use is NOT tolerated. Beer and alcoholic beverages are permitted on sites, but only if kept under control and covered.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at the play area.
No smoking, glass containers, or pets are permitted in the play area.
Campers are expected to keep their site tidy. Please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground; help us keep the entire park clean for your enjoyment.
Parents are responsible for their children at all times including any damages they may cause. Children must be at their parents’ site by 10 pm.
Mechanical repairs including changing of oil, lube, and washing of units is prohibited at overnight sites and house.
Trash must be deposited in garbage containers located in front of the park. Waste drains are for dishwater only. Please do not dump holding tanks in them.
NO fireworks, Japanese Lanterns, or balloon releases are permitted in the park.
Do NOT feed the geese.
Cottage Rentals:
Our convenient cottages are available at nightly and weekly rates. These cozy cottages allow you to savor the relaxation and beauty of our campground while still enjoying the modern conveniences of home. The cottage kitchenettes are stocked with all the necessities: stove, refrigerator, pots and pans, and dishes. We even provide the coffee maker and toaster for you. Linen packages start at $35.
Each cottage is limited to one vehicle and one boat parking. If you have an additional vehicles you can take advantage of the overflow parking we have available for that purpose.
House Rental:
The house features 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, two dining areas and a front and rear deck. Wi-Fi and cable tv access is included.
Two of the bedrooms have two full beds each, the other has Two have a full bed and one twin bed.
You are responsible for bringing sheets, towers, bedding, pillows, paper products including toilet paper as needed, food items and any firewood or charcoal you anticipate using. We do offer a linen package starting at $50 for 6 people, additional $5.00 per person. For more information about this service, please contact us.
Bunkhouse Rental:

We sell firewood and ice in our Shade Acres office 10am-7pm, there are nearby grocery stores for your needs.
