Cancellations due to weather do not affect the cancellation policy, unless Rustic Rook decides the conditions are unsafe.

Rules & regulations

  • Late Check ins - Contact us for late arrivals after 7pm. We highly recommend arriving before dark. Self check in is required if checking in after 9:30pm -guests must have prior approval from the camp host if checking in after 9:30pm. If you do not contact Rustic Rook by phone about a late check in your reservation will be canceled after 9:30pm and you will not be able to check in.

  • You will be responsible for any damages you or your party cause to tents/lodging structures, furnishings or Rustic Rook's community areas/property. Any damages in your lodging space not reported upon arrival as existing will be the responsibility of current guest and the credit card used to book reservation will be charged to replace/repair any items.

  • Rustic Rook Resort must comply with the local fire restrictions in Alamosa County in the rare case they are in effect.

  • Cancelations due to weather do not affect the cancellation policy, unless Rustic Rook decides the conditions are unsafe. We suggest purchasing travel insurance on your entire trip if cancelation is a concern to you.

  • Pet Policy: We allow well-behaved dogs and we even have a fenced in dog park! We charge a $25 pet fee/pet per stay. Pet owners are required to keep their pets on a leash while outside and clean up after them. Pets are not to be left unattended in your tent at any time. Pets are not allowed on the bed or furniture. If excessive dog hair is found on the bedding an additional $50 cleaning fee will be charged. Pet owners are responsible for any damages caused by their pet. Pets must be kept quiet during quiet hours. If your pet has not slept in a hotel or tent before and tents to bark a lot we don't recommend bringing your pet and you may be asked to keep him/her in your car if barking becomes a disturbance to other guests.

  • Quiet Time: Quiet hours are 9:30pm – 7am - noises travel very far at night when all is quiet, only speak in a very low voice/whisper after 10pm as to not disturb other guests. Please feel free to call the emergency number if another guest is disturbing you after quiet hours - we do take these complaints seriously and a guest who continues to be loud after being told they are causing a disturbance will be asked to leave without a refund for the current or future nights in reservation.

  • You will be asked to sign a lability release waiver upon arrival - a copy will be sent to your email for review after booking.

  • All children under 14 must be supervised by their parent/guardian at all times.

  • All glampers must park in the main parking lot - wagons are available to help with luggage, and we are happy to assist with a golf cart if you would like.

  • If you use the wagons to carry your things to your tent, or one of the kids riding toys, please put them back right when you are done for the next guest to use.

  • Do not place any items on top of your tent stove when it’s hot – you will be surprised how fast a GoPro will melt…

  •  Please do not eat in your tent – please only eat on the patio and clean up all crumbs/sugary drink spills. Ants and mice are present, and we do not want to encourage them to come inside the tents. Crumbs are an invitation for an ant party! They like candy in particular, so please make sure kids do not drop candy in or around the tents

  •  Feel free to fill up your personal sized water bottles in the lobby tent, but please do not fill up gallons of water. Gallons of water can be purchased  or filled at the spicket by community bathhouse (yes – this is potable water) – it’s tested regularly per state regulations.

  • 2 USB portable chargers and 2 lanterns are included for you to use while staying with us – please do not remove them from the property and return them to the lobby when you check out.

  • We are not able to accommodate late check outs - but if you wish to return to use the community bathhouse to take a shower you are welcome to do that.

  • Additional charges will be applied to your reservation if any of the above rules are not followed – this includes fur/dirty paw prints on bedding/furniture, grease, staining or melted items on the camp stove, food garbage left in or around the tent causing an ant infestation, crumbs inside your tent missing or damaged items from your tent etc..

  • Portable radios and car audio systems to be turned to a volume that does not impose on neighboring campers and must be turned off completely during “quiet time“.

  • General: Rustic Rook Resort is a private campground.  No unregistered guests.  This property is not a public property.  The guests accepts guest lodging/glamping/camping privileges with the understanding that he/she does hereby release Rustic Rook Resort, its officers and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his/her person arising out of his/her use of its camping facilities, and agrees to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person of any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its camping facilities.
