Policies
50% payment is required at the time of reservation to secure your lodging. The balance is due and will be charged to your credit card 14 days prior to first night stay. A confirmation will be emailed after each transaction.
We understand that reserving vacation lodging and activities requires a financial commitment. No one plans on cancelling a trip, but unforeseen events can change plans as your travel date nears. For this reason we offer our Cancellation Guarantee – an additional fee of 7.5% of your reservation total made at the time of booking that affords you more leeway with cancelling your lodging stay with a nominal financial penalty. Purchasing the Cancellation Guarantee is only available at the time of booking. When booking a lodging stay online, guests have the option of opting out of the Cancellation Guarantee before submitting payment. Guests who opt out of the Cancellation Guarantee, or reservations not eligible for the Cancellation Guarantee are subject to our Standard Cancellation Policy. Cancellations made prior to 48 hours in advance of check-in time receive a refund less 7.5% of the reservation total. Cancellations made prior to 24 hours in advance of check-in time receive a credit for a calendar year. Cancellations made within 24 hours of check-in time are not subject to a refund or a credit. Guests who opt out of the Cancellation Guarantee or reservations not eligible for the Cancellation Guarantee are subject to our Standard Cancellation Policy.
Rules & regulations
We do not allow pets in any of our cabins or glamping tents. There is a pet boarding facility about a mile from the cabins. Eight Mile Ranch pet boarding can be reached at 719-275-2035.
We do not allow smoking in any of our rentals. This includes tobacco, vapor, or any other form of smoking. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of the cabins to prevent smoke from entering the cabins through doors/windows. Violation of this policy will incur a $250 fee.
Be aware that during fire bans the only location where smoking is allowed is inside your vehicle.
Water is scarce in this desert environment. All water is hauled to our cistern tank so please make an effort to conserve this precious resource! Guests renting our glamping tents have access to the shower house and bathrooms. The showers have a timer to remind guests water conservation is important to us. You are welcome to reset the timer if a longer shower is preferred, we simply ask you to be considerate of others who may be waiting.
You need to be aware that this area of Colorado is native habitat for bears, mountain lions, skunks, snakes, and other critters. It is rare to see these animals in the campground due to the many noises that keep them at a distance. However, it is important to deposit trash ONLY in dumpsters; and use good common sense so as not to attract curious critters. Also, NEVER attempt to touch, pet, or feed wildlife that you come across in the campground.
The nearest dining is just across the road at our 8 Mile Bar & Grill which operates seasonally beginning in May and closing in September.
