Rules & regulations
Rio Bonito Cabin Resort and RV Park is a pet friendly place and welcomes our guests who enjoy traveling and sharing their experience with their family dog or cat. However, to ensure guest safety, it is important that you read and abide by the following pet policy for Rio Bonito Cabin Resort.
There is a pet deposit (cabin rentals only) of $50.00 per pet, which is NON-REFUNDABLE. Aggressive pets of any breed are not welcome at Rio Bonito Cabin Resort. If your pet exhibits aggressive behavior, Rio Bonito Cabin Resort has the right to ask you to make other accommodations elsewhere and you will not be refunded. In addition, some major insurance companies have identified certain breeds as having aggressive behavior. These breeds are Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes, Rottweiler, Chow, Staffordshire Terrier, and Dobermans and will not be permitted at Rio Bonito Cabin Resort.
Notification of a pet must be made at the time of reservation. The type of animal and the name will need to be given. In addition, ALL pets must be up to date on vaccinations and records will be checked upon arrival.
All pets are required to be under the control and visual observation of their owner at all times. A 6 ft. (six foot) leash rule is in effect whenever the animal is outside the owner’s cabin or vehicle. No pet should be left tied up and unattended outside the cabin or vehicle at any time.
It is required for each pet owner to pick up and dispose of pet waste in a plastic bag, which is tied off and deposited of within the garbage containers.
Excessive barking is not allowed at any time. If complaints are made in response to this behavior, Rio Bonito Cabin Resort has the right to ask you to leave if you are not able to control your pet’s barking.
6. In regard to cabins, PETS ARE NOT TO BE ALLOWED ON BEDS, BEDDING, OR FURNITURE. Guests should bring alternate bedding for animals; however, this does not guarantee that extra cleaning fees will not be charged if damages or excessive pet hair is found.
7. If damage is caused by the pet to the cabin (in regard to its contents or to the grounds), the Owner understands the credit card on file will be charged to cover any damages.
IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED TO BY THE OWNER OF EACH PET, THEY ARE HELD COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE IF THERE IS ANY CAUSE FOR LEGAL ACTION(S) BROUGHT TO RIO BONITO CABIN RESORT DUE TO THE ACTION(S) OR DAMAGE(S) RESULTING FROM THE OWNER’S PET.
Service dogs of any breed are welcome at Rio Bonito Cabin Resort. However, these animals may not exhibit aggressive behavior.
San Gabriel and Frio cabins are the only cabins that are available to pets. We do not offer pet reservations for Brazos cabins.
