Official Tentrr site. Tentrr is a trusted partner of BookOutdoors.Rifton Farm is a unique Silvan Culture experience. Nestled within our beautiful 120 acre property in Rifton, NY, our farm is small, and primarily caters to animals that are well suited to living in a forest environment.

Rifton Farm Hidden Forest: Our premier glamping site, closer to our farm and before our wild camping sites within the Forest, we offer a window into both nature and into farming of a more natural nature. Silvan Culture is the practice of farming under the forest canopy. It is difficult to describe how the farm animals share the same untamed environment as our resident wild animals do, and unusual to imagine farming within an uncultivated space, as it is to describe this unique glamping experience among our forest farm. Yet within a wild forest area filled with the sounds and the scents and character of a wilderness mixed with our farm animalsThis year our farm has moved forward with the addition of several rabbits, 25 pigs, over 20 chickens and a large ex-farm Turkey that has been calling in wild female turkeys. The activity is an element of magic previously unknown on our farm, and here for you to enjoy along with the other attractions nearby, and on our property.

Emerald Bowling Green: The Emerald Bowling Green site is a wild camping site. Bring all your best gear and have a brillant setup in a beautiful clearing in the forest. A 4wdSUV can drive right into the site, else its a short walk from our parking area& Porta-Potti. There is a hand built by me stone fire pit to cook over, with a small grill grate. The setting is majgical among towering hemlocks, and with a winding path down to a seasonal stream and marsh teaming with wildlife. Rifton Farm Hidden Forest Backcountry is an entrancing backdrop, the rest is up to your imagination.

Emerald Glade Nirvana: The Emerald Glade Nirvana site is a wild camping site. Bring all your best gear and have a brillant setup in a beautiful clearing in the forest. Always Leave No Trace! Please anything you bring in (including garbage), remember to bring out. Thank you.
Bring all food waste to our compost heap. Thank you

Clean up after your pet :)

Wear bug spray, you will be more comfortable. Skin so Soft has been known to repel bugs when worn by some people. Bug spray is known to repel deer ticks which exist anywhere deer are encountered in North America. Daily tick checks are strongly recommended when spending time anywhere in the wild.

A head bug net can be useful.

In the forest, or hiking and walking anywhere, dress properly: Hat with all around brim. Long sleeve shirt. Long trousers. Boots with socks. Neck kerchief doubles as a social distancing mask if you come across others.

Pond for fishing and wading and canoe only. Please go carefully.

Please respect wild animals and birds. Keep food out of your tent so as not to attract any four-legged or winged visitors into the tent, particularly at night while you may be asleep .

No trespassing to neighbors property.

Bring a Headlamp. One which has 3 settings: Hi/Low white, & red. Red is very useful for not dazzling others when everyone is wearing a headlamp.
