Rules & regulations

Tranquility

We are a non-smoking facility and property.

Our Yoga Barn is available for guests who wish to do personal practice. Yoga classes may be available upon request, depending on the season.

Quiet time is expected from 9pm to 7am. This simply means we ask our guests not to exceed a regular speaking noise level.

In order to support the tranquil atmosphere, there are no landline phones or televisions in the individual rooms.

Breakfast

We serve a variety of freshly baked organic items in a continental style to accommodate the varied schedules of our guests.

Breakfast has been thoughtfully prepared. We offer items that are gluten free, dairy free or vegan. You will receive Ruta Maya Organic Coffee and a selection of tea.

Please contact the hosts with any questions or specific dietary needs.

WiFi

WiFi Internet is available to all guests and is quite fast... usually hovering between

300-500mbs download speed and 50-80mbs upload speed.

Rural Area

This is a rural and country area - which means quiet...ahhhh!

There may be uneven ground. The driveway is made of packed gravel and dirt; please drive slowly. The path to your room is native flagstone. It is uneven and you may need to walk 50 feet from the parking area to your room, however, YES, you can roll a suitcase on it. Be mindful as you walk. If you require assistance, please let us know. All pathways are lit in the evening.

You may want to venture on our bark paths to our organic garden, flower beds and trees. We are blessed with acreage for your viewing and strolling pleasure, wonderful well water, quiet nights, starry skies, 100+ yr trees, a large pond, 2 patios, and sacred spaces.

Old City Park is at our driveway... you may enjoy expanses of grass, horseshoe pit, frisbee golf course, a goose pond and waterway, stage and pavilion, and a child play area.

Rates

Rates are based on a two night minimum.

Due to Moab's fluctuating temperatures, we have multiple tourist seasons which affects our rates.

Self check-in is available if you are arriving late or if the hosts are out.

We always reach out by text the day of your arrival with more information.

Children

We love children and welcome families! Please keep in mind the retreat type atmosphere and sanctuary setting when you are considering if this is the best fit for your family. Our pond is a protected ecosystem (no swimming) and young children must be supervised at all times. Room rates are based on double occupancy. Additional children under 3 yrs age are free, age 4-16 are $15 each, 17 and above are adults at $25 .

Pets

No Pets : Yes, we love them but this is a hypo-allergenic BnB and pets are not allowed in our guest rooms.

What we mean by "Organic and Natural":

We honor mother Earth and your health! That is why we aim to serve only organic, non-GMO foods. Your room is made up with organic essential oils and natural cleaning products. Grounds are maintained with organic and non-toxic practices. No pesticides or herbicides are used on the property. We use only unscented laundry soaps. Rooms are specifically cleaned to target wayward spiders (its a common desert thing.)

Water is Life

We live in a desert and try to conserve water; therefore your towels will be replaced upon request. We are happy to remove trash/recycling upon request and there are garbage and recycling receptacles in the common area for you to unload your daily waste as well.

The spring-fed pond is unique and inviting; however, we are trying to preserve the ecosystem thus, unfortunately, it is not a swimming hole. Here you will find water lilies, shade, a hammock, tables and with a good eye you can see goldfish, bullfrogs, and an occasional water fowl.

Recycling: In 2018 Moab recycling center drastically downsized! We, with our 1.5 million tourists, are faced with the challenge of REDUCING plastic waste that goes to our landfills. Recycling items must be clean, and no lids. Our rooms include reusable stainless steel water bottles for you to use. Please consider not buying single use water bottles on your trip, or better yet: bring your own. We offer delicious well water for your consumption.

Breakfast and Food Allergies

Our goal is to provide organic breakfasts. Please contact us if you have food allergies. We can direct you to the items you may eat and are happy to cater to your needs when possible.

The Indoor and Outdoor Common Areas

We have an indoor Library in our common area for group gatherings or looking at maps or books; complete with brochures and local service info.

Our breakfast room, aside from the obvious, this room is always open for evening tea, or to heat up your left overs. For your use are dishes, flatware, glasses, microwave, teapot, coffee pot.

Our outdoor space has many sitting and reflecting areas, including 100+ year old Cottonwood Trees, a large pond with patio and hammock, medicine wheel, vegetable garden and greenhouse, and fire pit (by permission only due to fire hazard).

Our Yoga Barn is always open for your personal practice, you will find available mats, blankets and bolsters. Enjoy some leisure poses while basking in the views of the field and Moab Rim.

Bicycle Storage

We have a bike rack to lock up your bikes. Please, no bikes in the rooms. Seriously!
