Platte River Fort is located to the east of the city of Greeley, where campers enjoy an incredible view of breathtaking Colorado sunsets.
Our campsites sit next to the South Platte River, which connects Colorado and Nebraska. Sit next to the picture-perfect water and listen to the peaceful crashes of the river moving along the rocks. Watch nature take its course!

Platte River Fort is close to Estes Park, DIA, Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as historical Greeley, Colorado. You’ll love our place because we are set upon 235 acres. We have Texas Longhorns roaming the river bottom & unforgettable sunsets. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers & special occasions.

Our spacious and comfortable covered wagon has everything you'll need for a unique stay along the South Platte River. Steps from the South Platte River, you and your guests can enjoy tubing or swimming on the river. There are also hiking trails, plenty of privacy and space to refresh and renew! Policies
We do not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts that nature may throw at us, early departures, illness, evictions and/or other situations. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the timing of your cancellation. Please make sure all reservations are correct before you submit your reservation for payment. All cancellation policies will be in effect when you submit payment.
Time of Booking to 22 days out: 20% Cancellation Fee
21-8 Days Out: 50% Refund
7-0 Days Out: No Refund
Pets are allowed in the campground, and for a fee, they are allowed in the yurts. (Nightly pet fee of $30.) Pets are not allowed in the Main Fort Building (including the suites and courtyard rooms). Pets are permitted in the Yurts for a nightly pet fee of $30/night.
Smoking is allowed in designated areas only. We are not 420 friendly.
Food and beverages are available when our onsite restaurant, Hank's, is operating. Keep in mind that hours are very limited. Other restaurants can be found in the nearby towns of Kersey or Greeley. NoCo Nosh and Grubhub deliver to the Fort, however, guests will need to meet them.
Guests will have access to river tubes. They are also welcome to bring their own kayak, SUP, or fishing equipment.
We do have wifi available for our guests, please inquire of cost and password to access.
At this time we do not have a store onsite. There is a Family Dollar 1.5 miles away in Kersey or there are several options in Greeley, which is 5 miles away. We do offer ice, tube rentals, PRF frisbees and firewood. All of these items are available for sale on the property.
Our tent and yurt sites are open seasonally, Mid-May through Mid-October. Opening dates and closing dates are dependent upon weather conditions. RV sites may be rented year-round, but please be aware that there are no restroom facilities or hook-ups available to you.
At this time, there are no shower facilities available. We do provide portable restrooms for you to use.
