Let us tell you more

The only island park that offers 17 tropically landscaped, reserved campsites that include tent pad, grill and picnic table. We also offer restrooms with hot showers, a picnic pavilion and large fire ring. Peanut Island started out as a 10 acre island created as a result of the material excavated when Lake Worth Inlet was created in 1918. The name Peanut was given to the island when the State gave permission for the use of the island as a terminal for shipping peanut oil. The plans were abandoned in 1946 but the name stayed the same. The island is known for fishing and snorkeling in the beautiful clear waters. Guarded and unguarded swimming beaches allow for visitors of all ages to enjoy the Florida sun. Peanut Island Park is a truly unique place with something to offer everyone!
