Oscoda County Park in Mio, MI is situated on the flood waters of the Mio Dam along the world famous AuSable River. The campground is open April 15th– November 30. There are 65 electric modern sites (30 & 50 AMP), 87 rustic sites, and a camping cabin available. Tents, Trailers, RVs, and 5th Wheels are all welcome. FREE HIGH SPEED WIFI is available to all campers. All your outdoor recreational dreams are awaiting you with the Huron National Forest being minutes away. There is direct access to ORV trails, with ORV’s welcome in the campground. Oscoda County Park provides the perfect atmosphere for your next camping adventure!

Electric Cabin

This tiny cabin is 8x12', with 7' ceilings. Equipped with electricity, full size bed, a small table and 2 chairs. Outside includes a covered porch, picnic table, and firepit. No cooking is allowed inside the cabin. Pets and other camping units are not allowed on cabin site.

Cottage

This cottage can sleep up to 7 people, has 3 bedrooms that are equipped with 1 Twin, 2 Queen, and 1 Queen couch pullout mattress. There are 2 living spaces, dining room, 1 bathroom, and appliance equipped/furnished kitchen (includes dining ware, microwave, coffee maker, stove). You will have to bring your own bedding and towels. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED ON COTTAGE PREMISES! A $100 pet cleanup fee will be automatically be charged to your credit card if a pet is seen on the cottage premises. Upon arrival you MUST SIGN A DAMAGE WAIVER in order to obtain the entry key.

Rustic primitive sites are non electric. These lots include a fire pit and picnic table. Most lots are grassy, and water spigots are available throughout park.

Rustic Cabin

This Rustic Cabin sits on a large corner lot overlooking the Mio Pond with close water access. It has no electricity and is furnished with 2 bunk beds and sleeps up to 4 people. This cabin is equipped with table and chairs, covered porch, picnic table, and a fire pit. No cooking is allowed inside the cabin. Pets and other camping units are not allowed on cabin site.

Electric 50 Amp

Located on the bank overlooking the Mio Pond, this site will accept up to 50 AMPS. It is equipped with a fire pit and picnic table. Water spigots are available throughout the campground.

Park Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: Please read carefully!** Notification of cancellation must be completed within 14 days prior to arrival date in order to receive a camping credit. You must contact our office by phone or in person in order to cancel a reservation and receive camping credit. There is a $3.50 CANCELLATION FEE that will be deducted from your camping credit. Camping credit is valid for one full calendar year. Absolutely NO CASH REFUNDS!

Rules & Regulations

We are the perfect destination for all your outdoor recreational activities with the Huron National Forest being right down the road.

CHECK IN is 3 PM, CHECK OUT is 12 PM for all sites and rentable buildings. Only 1 camping unit per site. If more than 1 unit is seen on your site a $10/day fee will automatically be charged to your credit card!

We allow generators/invertors under 70 dB, generator hours are 9 AM – 9 PM.

Leashed pets are welcome (except in the cabin/cottage), with a 6ft leash minimum.

Quiet Times: Modern & East Rustic 10 PM, West Rustic 12 AM.

ORV’s are allowed inside the park, but you must observe posted speed limits and respect your fellow campers.

IMPORTANT RESERVATION INFORMATION: 3 NIGHT MINIMUM ON ALL RESERVATIONS. FULL PAYMENT is due at reservation time and an additional nonrefundable $3.50 RESERVATION FEE per campsite.**

Water and electric lots have utilities turned on May 15 and off October 15.
