We do not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature. The fun continues rain, snow or shine. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the timing of your cancellation notice in advance of the reservation date.

A one-night deposit is required for all reservations.

Online reservations are paid in full at time of booking.

Holiday cabin reservations must be paid in full 2 weeks in advance and require 1 week cancellation notice, for cancellations with less than one week notice entire deposit will be forfeited.

Balance is due 72 Hrs. prior to 2:00 PM on arrival day or you will forfeit your reservations. If you are booking less than 3 days out we require payment in full for reservations.

Reservations may be cancelled up to 72 Hrs. prior to 2:00 PM on arrival day (less $10 processing fee).

72-48 hrs. prior to 2:00 PM on arrival day, one night deposit will be charged and the balance of the reservation may be placed on a camp credit.

Full fee will be charged in the event of a “no-show” or if a guest gives less than 24 hrs. notice prior to 2:00 PM on arrival day.

Deposits made for holiday reservations will not be refunded.

Guests that decide to leave early for whatever reason will forfeit payment for remainder of stay.

Rules & regulations

Welcome to our campground. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment please observe the following rules and regulations. We appreciate your help in keeping our facility clean, neat and free from damage.

Afterhours needs- Ring the Doorbell at the office, or follow emergency notice posted on the door.

All guests must follow the rules and regulations of the park. Any situation not directly covered by the rules but deemed unsafe by a staff member will be addressed. Decisions of any staff member are final pertaining to noise, campfires and other infringements of the campground rules or unsafe acts/conditions. Disrespect of authority, property or other guests is grounds for camper removal. Monarch Spur RV Park and Campground reserves the right to amend rules at any time.

SPEED LIMIT 8 MPH. Children, chipmunks, and other pedestrians have the right-of-way. Speed limit applies to all wheeled vehicles.

Check-in/Check-out: RV & Tent Sites: Check-in 3:00pm. Check-out 11:00am. Cabins & Travel Trailer Rentals: Check-in 4:00pm. Check-out 11:00am.

Late Check-in: If you arrive after 8:00pm please stop at the office to pick up your welcome packet. It will be located in the arrivals box at the front door. No arrivals are permitted after 10:00pm. You must call in advance for approval on arrivals after 10:00pm.

Late departures: Will be charged $5.00/hr RV/Tent and $10.00/hr Cabins/travel Trailers until 1:00 PM after which time an additional night will be charged.

Site/Date change fee: There is a $5 administrative fee for all site/date change requests.

REFUNDS: Camping is an outdoor/all weather experience. Once Checked-in, Guests that decide to leave early for whatever reason will forfeit payment for remainder of stay.

Sewer Connections: Thread-in Sewer Adapter required to dump in our septic! DO NOT dump without one! Do not use a rubber donut or just stick your hose in the pipe! Please leave your Black/Gray tank valves CLOSED until you are ready to dump, this allows your chemical to do its job and cuts down on odors.

Quiet hours: 10:00pm- 7:00am. Children under 16 must return to their own site before 10:00pm. During this time voices, activity and other noises must be kept to a minimum. Please be aware that normal speaking voices can carry. Outside radios and TVs should be turned off. If you must leave early do not disturb your neighbors. Generators and exterior lighting must be turned off during quiet hours.

Generators: Prohibited at full hook-up sites. Allowed at dry camp sites but must be under 60 decibels no matter what time of day. Generator use of any kind is not allowed during quiet hours.

Cell Phones: Cell phone coverage is limited to non-existent.

WiFi: We have free WiFi throughout the RV sites, cabins and a few tent sites. Our ISP limits our bandwidth however so in consideration of others, there is no gaming, streaming or other high data usage activities allowed. If you abuse bandwidth our system will block your device. If you are staying long-term we recommend you procure your own internet service.

TV Reception: Again, we are located literally in the heart of the Rocky Mtns. There are no over the air channels nor do we have cable TV. Both Dish and Direct TV work very well in the park if you have your own mobile dish.

Occupancy: All prices are based on 4 people and “extra people” rates apply for all site types. Maximum of 6 people in each RV and Cabin/Travel Trailer site. Tent sites carry their own maximums based on site.

Vehicles and Trailers: RV’s must be in clean and good condition and must be 12 years or newer. Older models must be approved by the Park Owner. We reserve the right to refuse service to any RV based on its appearance and/or condition. You are permitted one RV and two vehicles per site. Vehicles and trailers that do not fit completely on your site must be parked in the overflow parking area. Do not park in another site, or on the road. Each registered guest and visitor must display their parking pass.

Site Usage: Tents on the RV sites require prior approval and are charged regular RV site rates. Not all tent sites allow for small RV/pop-ups. Refer to what is allowed at individual tent site locations and call with questions.

Visitor Policy: All persons not registered to a site at check-in are considered visitors. They must register at the office before entering the park. There isn’t a charge for daytime visitors. Registered campers are responsible for their guests and will be held financially responsible for any damage to the property.

Prohibited: Nailing or hanging of any kind on trees. Digging of any kind (except tent stakes). Dumping of any liquids/grease/ashes on the ground or in the river.

Tarps, Tents, Shade Structures, Other Structures: Tents and “easy-up”-type structures are for temporary use only, limited to seven days. Manager can approve more substantial, semi-permanent shade structures, in accordance with the individual property guidelines.

Only form-fitting bike/car covers are allowed. Carports are prohibited. Please do not use a tarp to cover any part of your RV or campsite. Exterior furnishings should be appropriate for outdoor/camping use. Indoor furnishings including but not limited to sofas, chairs, refrigerators, freezers and kitchen tables are not allowed on your campsite.

Fencing is limited to 24” in height and may be utilized only in the area under the rig awning. Flags and signs that display the Confederate flag, politicians, political candidates or contain vulgarity or profanity are not allowed to be displayed at your site or throughout the campground/resort. Customers in violation of this policy will be asked to remove their flag/sign and if they refuse to do so, will be asked to vacate the property.

Park in designated parking spots at tent sites. Please do not pull vehicles onto tent sites. With Prior approval select tent sites will accommodate a Pop-up camper and will be charged accordingly.

Camper/RV: Washing of RVs or vehicles is not permitted, except by permission of Manager for mobile RV wash that brings their own water etc.

General Housekeeping: Please keep your campsite clean during your stay and leave the campsite in the same or better condition than you found it in when you arrived.

No Fireworks of any kind allowed.

Children: All parents/caregivers are responsible for appropriate behavior of their children. Be aware of where your children are and what they are doing at all times. Parents/guardians will be financially liable for damages caused by their children. Minor children under 16 years of age must not leave their campsite after 10:00 PM unless accompanied by a parent. Your children must be supervised at all times. Children are not allowed at another resident’s site unless they were invited. Parents, please make your children aware of these rules. Disregard for campground rules, causing dissension among other campers, or conduct deemed improper by the management is cause for immediate eviction without notice or refund.

River Use: Swim at your own risk. There is no lifeguard. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Shower-house/Laundry: Please help us keep the restrooms and shower-houses clean and ready to use by others by picking up after yourself. If there is water on the floor after your shower, please clean up after yourself. Young children are not allowed in the restrooms or laundry without an adult present. No pets allowed in the shower-house. Do not take any trash to the shower-house/Laundry, all trash is to be put in the Bear-proof dumpsters.

Bicycle: Ride only on roadways and trails. Do not ride after dusk without proper lighting.

Golf carts, Dirt Bikes, ATV/UTVs (hereafter called UTV): Must be registered at check-in. All operators must be 16 years old and possess a state issued driver’s license or have a parent/guardian on board. UTVs must have proof of liability insurance and be shown with a minimum of $100,000 in personal injury and property damage held on the UTV. All UTV must be properly lit after dark. Separate UTV Policies sheet must be signed. There are lots of UTV trails nearby, but none that can be accessed directly from the park. You must haul your UTV.

Laundry facilities: Do not leave laundry unattended. Please clean washers and dryers and remove all lint etc. when finished. The utility sink in the laundry room is for dishwashing purposes only. Please clean up after yourself and the leave the sink/area ready for the next guest.

Garbage: ABSOLUTELY no trash bags left outside of camping units at night. The bears, raccoons, etc. love to destroy the trash at night. Please keep your site tidy. Only household generated garbage in plastic bags should be placed in the dumpster. Absolutely no outside trash hauled in. If lid won’t close securely, use another dumpster. Absolutely no trash left on top of or beside the dumpsters. No hazardous or flammable items are to be thrown into the dumpster, including hot ash from grills, lit cigarettes, etc.

Our neighbors include bears, elk, deer, moose, cougars, coyotes, water snakes (they are not poisonous) and more. Please be respectful of all nature and wildlife by not picking any flowers/plants or harming or harassing any wildlife.

Campfires: Please be responsible when having a campfire and keep campfires contained to the fire pit only. Firewood is for sale at the office, no gathering of wood is allowed. Campfires should be extinguished before retiring for the night and should never be left unattended. Fire pits are not to be used for garbage cans – only newspaper, kindling and firewood should be placed or burned in the fire pit. If Chaffee County has a fire ban in place those rules supersede the above rules.

Alcohol: Drinking of alcoholic beverages is allowed for all guests 21 and over. Underage drinking will not be tolerated. If consuming alcohol outside of your campsite, it must be contained in a concealed plastic container. Excessive use of alcohol, public drunkenness, use of profanity, loud or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate ejection from the park. Drinking alcohol while driving or driving under the influence on the property will result in immediate ejection from the park.

Drugs: We are a drug-free campground. The use of any recreational drugs, legal or otherwise, will result in an early departure for the offenders without a refund.

Smoking/Vaping: No smoking/vaping in any of the park buildings or outdoor common areas. Because of the proximity of the RV sites, all RV guests must smoke/vape in their RV or in the outdoor designated smoking/vaping area(s).

Pets: Pets are welcome in tent and RV sites. We do not allow pets in the cabin or the rental RV’s we own. There is a maximum of 2 pets per site allowed. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times when outside of RV or Camping Unit. Pets are not to be left unattended and must be kept in your unit after dark. Only small, compact fences allowed, and must remain on your site. Do not hang dog runs/leashes on trees. Even if you feel your pet doesn’t need to be on a leash, we ask that you do so at all times. Our insurance requires it for the park. Pets cannot be left outside when owners are away from site or park, nor may they be left inside RV if they are excessive barkers. Excessive barking, growling, or any aggressive behavior will not be allowed. Noisy or aggressive pets, failure to keep your pet on a leash, or failure to pick up after your pet could result in a request to remove your pet from the premises without a refund. Pets must be current on all vaccines. There are three pet stations located around the park. Picking up your dog’s waste immediately is mandatory. No pets allowed in any of the buildings.

RV site Boundaries: RV site boundaries are utility pedestal to utility pedestal. Please respect other campers’ sites and refrain from crossing others’ campsites. Please stay on roads and designated trails throughout the grounds. This is a family friendly park. Campers’ activities shall not interfere with other Campers’ use and quiet enjoyment of their site. Disturbing others, disorderly conduct, fighting or obscene language may result in eviction.

CAUTION: Please enter the campsite with safety and caution. Damages to MSRV Park property are the financial responsibility of the registered guest.

Accidents/Incidents: Must be reported to management and have a report filed no later than 24 hours after occurrence.

Electric Pedestals: Charging of electric vehicles is prohibited in the park. Except monthly reservations or golf carts. Please make sure you are unplugged before driving off.

Vendors: No sale or solicitation to RVs, Tent sites or Cabins of any product.

Littering: Littering of any kind, including cigarette butts, is not allowed.

Monarch Spur RV Park and Campground is privately owned. MSRV Park and its agents, employees, and representatives will not be responsible for and assumes no liability in the event of loss due to fire, theft, accidents, Acts of God, or any other loss whether it may be injury or loss of property. Management also reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and to evict without prior notice anyone who creates a disturbance, nuisance, or deliberately breaks any of the parks policies. Eviction will be immediate and without any reimbursement of camping fees.

The Campground cannot be responsible for injury or damage due to wind, water, fire or the negligence of you or others. Some of these rules were made by our insurance carrier, some by the state of CO, some by our attorney, and some by management. They were made for your safety, and to ensure the enjoyment of your camping experience.
