Tentrr is a trusted partner of BookOutdoors.Situated on the winding Tickfaw River in Southeastern Louisiana, Tickfaw State Park is a great destination for nature lovers and those looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. Strolling on the boardwalk in the park, visitors can experience the sights and sounds of a cypress/tupelo swamp and two types of forest. The river's name is derived from the Choctow phrase meaning Rest Among the Pines.There are four hiking trails in the 1200-acre preserve and campers can bring canoes and kayaks to enjoy a paddle on the river; nighttime hikes are a favorite activity in this park. The park also features a nature center with an 800-gallon aquarium.
Pond View A is located approximately 1 mile from the park entrance and has a view of the fishing pond. Your partially shaded campsite is about a 125 foot hike in from the parking spot. The site features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also be able to access modern bathhouses for showers and restrooms at the park but these facilities are some distance from the tent (near the RV campground).
Woodland C, F-H are single sites. These sites are located approximately 0.5 miles from the park entrance. The partially shaded woodland sites have drive-up parking for one vehicle at the tent for easy unloading. Your campsite features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. Running water is available with a campsite water spigot. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also be able to use restrooms and showers in the adjacent primitive camping area.
Woodland D and E are located approximately 0.5 miles from the park entrance. These partially shaded woodland sites have drive-up parking for one vehicle at the tent for easy unloading. Your double campsite features two spacious 10 x 12 platform tents each with a queen bed as well as two pop-up tents that can each accommodate 4 additional campers. (Up to 12 campers total at this site.) A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. Running water is available with a campsite water spigot. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also be able to use restrooms and showers in the adjacent primitive camping area.Note: If you have a 2nd car - you can park it at the nearby bathhouse.

Pack your own food, water, firewood, bedding, bug spray and flashlights
There is no electricity, AC, or heater at your Tentrr site, pack accordingly
Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping and all sites will be inspected for cleanliness and damages before the next camper
All trash MUST be deposited in the designated trash receptacle that is labeled on the map. Please note: If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee of at least $50
Pets are allowed. Please keep all pets on leashes(we recommend 6 ft), and DO NOT let your pets near or swim in any bodies of water.
Please remember to respect and keep your distance from our wildlife in the park. Feeding any wildlife is prohibited. Be aware and watch all surrounding areas when going off trail.
