Come and relax at Little Bear Island Campground, a this beautiful, fun, and friendly environment, surrounded by mountains in a wooded setting. Our RV camping sites are shaded and grassy with spacious, level back-in sites up against the Little Sandy River.

We have 50 RV sites at our RV campground, some set up with electricity & water, just water, and lots for your boondocking pleasure. Because each RV camping site has its own special features, you’ll want to keep coming back. You can even book these campsites for months at a time, and at a fraction of the daily price.

You’ll have a great RV Camping experience at Little Bear Island Campground because our large RV Campsites are perfect for larger motorhomes and travel trailers. If you’re looking for an RV camping spot that is quiet and free from street lights, this is the place. Fishing Little Sandy is possible day and night without having to be surrounded by campers, lights, and noise. Maximum 6 persons per site. Each site requires one adult. We can accommodate RVs up to 45 feet in length and slideouts. These sites only have City Water. There is also a Dump Station on-site.

RV Boondocking

These huge RV Campsites are perfect for large travel trailers and motorhomes and as a result, make for a fantastic boondocking experience. If you’re truly looking for a rural place without street lights and concrete, then you’ve found your weekend vacation place. Quietly fish the Little Sandy, day or night because you aren’t located in a crowd of RC campsites, close together with tons of people. Grassy sites, fairly level, no street lights, just peace, and quiet. Maximum of 6 persons per site. Minimum one adult per site. We can accommodate RVs up to 45 feet and slide outs.

Because our spacious RV Campsites at Little Bear Island Campground are ideal for larger motorhomes or travel trailers, you’ll enjoy an excellent RV Camping experience. You’ve found the perfect weekend getaway spot if you are looking for a peaceful RV campground with no concrete or street lights. You can fish the Little Sandy day and night without being surrounded by other campers, lights, and noise. Maximum 6 people per site. One adult is required per site. We can accommodate RVs with a maximum length of 45 feet or more, as well as slideouts. These particular sites feature 30/50AMP Electric and City Water. We also have an onsite Dump Station.

Policies
Park Policy

If you want to amend your booking, you must notify us as soon as possible. Subject to availability and the conditions below, amendments to your booking can be made free of charge if you do so before the 7 days prior to your Arrival Date. If the amendment increases the price of your booking, the increased amount will be charged

If you want to amend your booking within the 7 days prior to your Arrival Date, a fee may be charged on top of any price increases as a result of the amendment. This can be avoided with good communication.

You may cancel your booking at any time. We do not offer refunds for cancelled bookings, unless a minimum of 4 days notice is given with a valid reason.

A booking can only be amended once.

No booking amendments will be accepted by Us within the 4 days prior to your Arrival Date.

We do not accept poor weather as a reason for cancellation/rebooking, unless it is deemed as unsafe and risk to public safety i.e. flooding, hurricanes and other extreme weather conditions in which case you will be contacted and offered an alternative.

If you have a problem onsite, you must speak to us face to face to allow us chance to rectify the problem face to face – we will not accept an email complaint. All complaints must be done face to face. We don’t refund on the basis of a problem with another guest onsite, unless this is through our fault.

Rules & Regulations

This is a private campground in a rural setting. We do not offer a bath house/public restrooms. Let us know whether you are a 30 or 50 AMP. If you are 30, some of our site on the East side of the island may require a converter. Many Thanks. Apologies for any disappointment this causes.

NO Tent camping available since we don’t have restrooms. We do allow RV, trailer, camper van or truck camping as long as you are bringing your own toilet.

We allow 6 adults and 4 children per site. Contact us if you have a larger group and we can help you make arrangements.

Quiet time: 11:00PM to 7:00AM

We reserve the right of admission. We only accept responsible campers that are considerate to fellow campers/guests and are respectful of the environment.

All children must be closely supervised by an adult due to the river that surrounds the island.

If you bring a dog, this remains your responsibility at all times, must be on a lead and not left unattended. Dogs are limited to a maximum of three per party; they must be exercised away from the main camping areas. You are responsible for any mess, which should be cleared up and disposed of immediately. You will be asked to put your dog on a lead if it is seen roaming free around the camping area or any other area on the island.

There must be no loud or disrupting noise after 11:00pm before 7:00am.

The Campsite is a RV only area. All RVs must be non-permanent. VW type, small vans are not accepted due to having no available public restrooms.

Leave your accommodation as you found it, ie: no litter or damage. You will be liable for any damages or excess cleaning caused to any of our property and will be charged.

Music players/radios must be kept to a reasonable volume and then switched off or lowered to non-disruptive levels by 11:00pm.

No fireworks, chinese lanterns, guns or weapons.

No hen/stag parties or weddings.

Drunk, disorderly or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to ask you to leave should this occur.

We cannot accept responsibility for your possessions or any personal injury of any kind sustained while on Our land, subject to Section 8 – Liability. You must not stray into fields at night. This is for your own personal safety.

Sites are either reserved or are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Campfires are allowed in designated areas within your site. BBQs are permitted if raised off the ground to protect the grass and fire pits are available.

You are liable at all times for any fires, BBQs and other activities undertaken around the site. We do not allow open fire of any sort outside your fire pit/ring.

Whilst on Our land, you and any members of your party are free to fish while respecting Kentucky’s Fish and Game licensing.

Any accidents on Our land or in the Little Sandy River must be reported to staff/camp host so We can log them in Our Accident Book.

Check in is not before 2:00pm, you may be liable to a fee of $10 if you arrive before this time or you may be asked to leave and come back at 2:00pm. You must vacate your chosen accommodation by 11:00am on your departure day promptly, unless a late checkout has been granted by prior agreement, please ask the camp host.

You must keep to the 5mph speed limit on our island and site for your own and others safety.

You must take large items of rubbish away with you i.e. broken items, garbage bags, cardboard, chairs etc. Only general food waste and packaging is to be disposed of in our bins. You may be liable to a charge if we end up having to dispose of bulky items.

We do not offer any sort of storage facility. If you do leave your property on our site, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you and after 21 days it will be sold and we will take the value of storage costs from the sale.

You must leave a gap of 8Ft between all units. This is a legal requirement. You may be asked to move if you are too close to another. 6Ft is acceptable for groups.

No Day Guests unless otherwise authorized by the property owner.

If you plan on arriving back on site after 11:00PM, be considerate of high beams, and driving.

Please note if you have booked multiple services we have maximum numbers of people we allow in each site. See 3.6. You will be asked to leave if these guidelines are not adhered to.

We reserve the right to back charge your payment method for any damages or disturbance to other guests on site. Any damages should be discussed with us and we will come to an appropriate charge. Excess cleaning will also be billed at a minimum of $50 and then subsequently charged at $115 per hour thereafter, should you leave any accommodation in an unsatisfactory state.

Nothing in this section limits or attempts to limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by Our negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter for which it would be illegal or unlawful for us to exclude or attempt to exclude Our liability.

We shall not be responsible for any losses that you suffer that are indirect or not foreseeable, including, but not limited to, loss of income or revenue, loss of business and loss of anticipated savings.

We are not responsible for your loss of equipment or personal belongings.

As Our Campsite is located in a rural environment, we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or inconvenience caused by river, plants, trees, wildlife or weather. We advise you to have the relevant insurance.

Should any of the vehicles owned by your party get stuck and require assistance or towing, we shall not be held responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle(s). You should check that your insurance cover will allow secondary towing. There will be a charge for this service dependent on your travel coverage and local towing costs.

We do not accept responsibility for anything that adversely affects your stay that is outside of Our control. We advise you to have suitable travel insurance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kentucky.
