We are an Alaska experience park come enjoy the great out doors. The Park is full service and 9 pull through sites 28 sites in all. Laundry room and bathrooms with showers.Community fire pit with firewood.We are on the banks of the Tanana River. The Lazy Moose is a beautiful campground located in Salcha, Alaska, and is a great spot for an authentic outdoor escape. Campers can look forward to a number of nearby attractions including Harding-Birch Lakes, Healy Lake and the Chena River State Recreation Area. At these breathtaking spots, travelers can enjoy fishing, boating, canoeing, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding, and there's plenty of space on the land for hiking and exploring. For more urban pursuits, visitors can drive just 35 miles to Fairbanks, and visit the ice sculpture museum or meet native Alaskans at Chena Indian Village before relaxing on the beach at Tanana Lakes. Wildlife, scenic and sunset viewing are popular at this campground so if you love photographing nature, this is the perfect camping ground! Amenities at the campground include: full hookups, big rig access, pull thrus, free WiFi, a dump station, RV storage, picnic tables, fire circles, tent sites, cabin rentals and grills. Policies
Cancellations incur no penalties. If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book.
Vehicle Allowance
Only one car is to be parked at each site; extra vehicles must be parked in the designated areas.
Sites
Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with management; please speak with reception if the need arises as a fee may be charged for unsupervised units. Please follow management's rules when setting up your tents and rigs.
Grilling and Fire Safety
Barbecues are permitted, but must be raised off the ground an attended by an adult at all times. Open fires are prohibited.
Pet Policy
Pets must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times. All dogs must have a valid vaccination certificate.
Payment Policy
A 15% non-refundable deposit is payable upon booking and the remaining balance is due upon arrival.
Check In/Out Policy
The following is the arrival and departure policy: - RV, trailer and tent campers may arrive any time after 2 p.m. and depart at 11 a.m. - On-site visitors may arrive any time after 2 p.m. and depart at 11 a.m.
