Policies
ALL VEHICLES ENTERING THE PARK MUST PURCHASE A PERMIT. Speed limits on park roads are 10 mph. All motor vehicles must operate on designated roads. Off-road vehicles and golf carts are not allowed within the park. No vehicles may drive down the river banks.
There is a maximum limit of (8) people per campsite and two (2) camping units per campsite, except for RV’s, Trailers, and Pop-Ups. There is a two (2) night minimum on Holiday reservations. No vehicles are allowed on or around the H-5 Dam Levee.
Persons under 18 years of age desiring to camp overnight must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or be supervised by a responsible adult.
Quiet hours are between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and unnecessary noise or activities are prohibited to allow campers a good night’s rest. No music is allowed after 10:00 p.m. Please use common courtesy.
GROUND FIRES ARE NOT ALLOWED! Fires are allowed only in furnished grills and pits.
Picnicking, visiting, and driving through are available only between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
NO PETS ARE ALLOWED unless they are on a leash or confined in a vehicle.
NO GLASS CONTAINERS are allowed in the park.
To preserve and protect park vegetation and animals and their habitat, the recreational use of firearms, archery equipment, paint ball guns, air guns, or fireworks are prohibited.
PARK FEES
DAY USE FEE:
$10.00 per vehicle per day, for all vehicles entering the park.
Maximum occupancy per vehicle is six (6) persons.
INDIVIDUAL DAY USE FEE:
$2.00 per person, per day, ages six (6) and over.
Individual fee is charged for pedestrians, motorcycles, bicyclists, commercial bus passengers and groups exceeding six (6) persons per vehicle.
Children five (5) years and younger are free.
ANNUAL GBRA VEHICLE PERMIT:
150.00 per vehicle.
Paid in lieu of the Lake Wood Day Use Fee.
Only covers entrance for six (6) persons per vehicle.
At times portions of the park will be closed to the public due to special events, maintenance, safety reasons, or flood conditions and annual permits do not allow entrance during these times.
CAMPING:
All camping fees paid instead of Day Use fees.
Check In after 8 a.m.
Check Out:
Monday – Saturday by 2 p.m.
Sunday and Holidays by 5 p.m.
RV’S, TRAILERS, CAMPERS AND POP-UPS:
$30.00 per vehicle per camping day.
$35.00 per day for vehicles using 50 AMP service.
TENT CAMPING:
$25.00 per vehicle per camping day for campsite.
2ND VEHICLE:
$15.00 per additional vehicle per camping day for each 2nd vehicle at campsites including visitors.
WEEKLY RATES:
$180.00 for 15 AMP to 30 AMP from April 1 – September 30.
$140.00 for 15 AMP to 30 AMP from October 1 – March 31.
$185.00 per week for 50 AMP year-round.
