Kingswood is a 766 acre site nestled in the Catskill Mountains at Hancock, New York. Huge forests, open fields, stunning views, and rolling hills create a breathtaking backdrop for an unforgettable adventure. There are maintained hiking trails through fields and forest and around the pond on our property. In addition to our amazing, fully-equipped campsites, Kingswood offers a selection of tent and trailer sites for a classic camping experience, plus fully connected RV sites. Kingswood Campsite is a quiet, natural setting in which the development of positive, cooperative experiences are encouraged. This setting provides opportunities for community: strengthening of families, giving back through volunteering, nurturing of friendships, renewing of spirit, and growing in respect for God’s creation. Each week features programming for campers of all ages each day. Learn to cook on a fire, learn about the natural setting, take a hike or make a craft. There is a weekly potluck featuring homemade ice cream and cobbler. Swimming is daily 1-5 pm. There are rowboats, canoes, and kayaks available for use at no additional cost. The barn has games, puzzles and sports equipment. The upper barn is a great place to stay dry on a rainy summer day.

Tent and Trailer
Tent and trailer is a quiet and rustic place to camp if you already have all your gear. There are two water stations close to each end of the pavilion area. There are also two outhouses. Each campsite has a picnic table, a fire pit, and a saw buck. There are numerous picnic tables in the pavilion area that will accommodate a very large group. There is also a fire pit and a cooking area right next to the pavilion. Some of the sites will accommodate small pop-up trailers. There are no hook-ups. This is a fantastic place to camp at Kingswood! Note: Not all sites are pictured.

RV Site
Nestled along the south edge of Kingswood’s “cornfield” up on the hill across from the entrance to the main camping area in between the apple trees of the old orchard are three new RV sites. Each back-in RV site is built to accommodate rigs up to 32 feet long. There is a 30 amp single pole electric hookup at each site and a central sewage dumping station at the bottom of the hill on the entrance road to the RV camping area. All sites have a stone fireplace that can be used for campfires and/or cooking, running water to a prep table built over a drywell, and a picnic table. There are also outhouses conveniently situated for the groups of RV sites as an alternative to filling up the rigs black water tanks. Rentals are available on a weekly basis. Occupancy of the RV Site is limited to six (6) people, including children and guests.

Equipped Site
Kingswood’s equipped campsites are the perfect way to enjoy a classic camping experience without inconvenience. The spacious 14’x16′ cabin tent is on a dry wood deck, covered with two layers of canvas, and contains 6 bunks. Your fully-equipped outdoor kitchen can be found under a 16′x16′ covered shelter. Your kitchen includes a table for 8, sink with fresh well water, propane stove, covered fireplace, coffee pot, ice chest, cookware, and more. See a complete list here! Each site has its own private outhouse and are located a quick walk or drive from the Oasis, a bathroom with hot running water, showers, toilets and sinks.
All you need to bring is sleeping gear and groceries. Equipped campsites are ideal for first-time campers, family campers and groups.

Policies
Reservations canceled 30 days or more prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $25 administrative fee.
Reservations canceled 15-29 days prior to arrival receive a 50% refund minus the $25 administrative fee.
Reservations canceled 14 days or less prior to arrival receive no refund.
Reservations modified incur a $25 administrative fee.
Cancellation requests must be made by email or by phone.
Full week reservations open up January 2. Reservations for shorter stays begin on March 15.

Quiet hours are between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. No noise at all. Really! Sound travels in the outdoors.
No alcoholic beverages or controlled substances.
No smoking in the barn, at the beach, or on trails. No smoking anywhere, except near your fireplace. Please dispose of all cigarette butts in the garbage.
No fireworks, chain saws, power tools, all terrain vehicles, or weapons.
Fires are built only in our fireplaces or in council fire circles. Flames should be less than 12 inches high. No bonfires. Cut dead fallen wood, not standing trees.
Rowboat, kayak, and canoe hours are from 7 a.m. until dusk. Use only our boats (prevents lake contamination). All boaters must wear a life jacket (we supply). No one under 14 years old can be in a canoe or in a kayak without an adult. No one under 12 years old can be in a rowboat without an adult. Please go slow, stay seated, and avoid the swim area when boating or canoeing. Enter and exit boats only at the boat dock.
Swimming is allowed only when the lifeguard or attendant is on duty. Swim hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Please respect the authority of the lifeguard or attendant!
No food, radios, or pets are allowed on the beach. You may picnic at the tables in the craft area.
No fishing near the swim area. New York State fishing laws apply at Kingswood.
We follow county recycling guidelines (details at camp). If you use your own trash bags, they must be clear.
Speed limit on camp roads is 10 mph. That’s really slow. Really! So slow, that you’ll feel better and enjoy camp life more if you park your vehicle and walk around the site.
The maximum number of vehicles per campsite is two. Please park them in the designated parking area denoted by the orange posts. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, and trailers are all considered vehicles. Additional vehicles must be parked in the big parking lot by the farmhouse. No parking is permitted on the roadways.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must have proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination, must be kept leashed, and must stay off the beach.
Children must be accompanied by an adult when at the waterfront areas, the playground, and at programs.
An Equipped Site is outfitted for a maximum of 6 people. Up to four additional campers are welcome, but they must sleep in their own tents. Each additional camper will be charged $10/day. The maximum number of campers permitted per campsite is 10.
Tent & Trailer and Spruce sites are designed for one tent, or one small trailer, with up to 6 campers. The maximum number of campers permitted per campsite is 6.
A two vehicle limit per campsite is requested. This helps to reduce soil erosion and prevents high traffic rut damage on soft soil. Additional parking is available in the parking lot by the farmhouse and up near Eagle Field.
Check-in time is 3 p.m. You may arrive earlier and use our facilities, but please do not go up to your campsite until after 3 p.m.
Check-out time is 1 p.m. Your site must be vacant by then to allow the manager time to turn over your site for the next campers. You are welcome to stay and use the facilities, but please remove all of your personal belongings from your campsite. Please leave the campsite in the condition you found it!

Campers who repeatedly ignore rules, misbehave, or are disrespectful will be asked to leave.
