Welcome to JW Durango Riverside Resort! Located along the Animas River in the beautiful San Juan Mountains.
Tucked along the river’s edge at the northern end of the Hermosa Valley, our campground is just north of historic downtown Durango and right off the scenic Million Dollar Highway. This area is home to countless recreational opportunities, including hiking, biking, off-roading, fishing, river rafting, horseback riding and the popular Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
JW Durango Riverside Resort features a pool, game room, convenience store and more. We are remodeling cabins, modernizing our store and upgrading the pool area in addition!
You may choose to stay in one of our rustic cabins, vacation rentals, riverfront RV sites, spacious super-sites, or tent sites. House rules for a happy stay
Policies
Reservations canceled greater than 30 days of the date of arrival incur a $35 fee. For reservations canceled 30 days or sooner than the arrival date, 50% of the deposit is forfeited.
Rules & regulations
Pets: We welcome pets, however, we ask that all guests clean up after their pets and do not leave them
unattended. There is a $10 charge per pet per day (maximum of 2 pets per site).
Visitors: All visitors to the park must check in at the front desk.
Pool: Our heated pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There is no lifeguard on duty. An adult must accompany children under the age of 16. Swim diapers are required for babies and toddlers. The pool is open from 9 a.m. to sundown.
Hours of Operation (as of June 1, 2022):
The Front desk/Retail and Grocery Store building is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily.
The Game Room is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily.
The Laundry Room is open 24 hours.
The cafe is open from 2-8 p.m., Thursday-Monday.
Durango Riverside Resort has a variety of wildlife in the area, including black bears, raccoons, coyotes, mountain lions, lynx, crows, magpies and more!
We ask all our guests to be BEAR AWARE. This means leaving trash inside - except during trash pick times - and keeping all pet food inside.
