Come and enjoy the best that nature has to offer. Peaceful… Beautiful... Serene… Are just a few words our guests have used to describe Indian Creek Campground in Cherokee, NC. Located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation at the southern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the campground is secluded, quiet, heavily wooded, naturally beautiful and nestled on 88 acres between 3 mountain tops. You’ll find just what you need at this small, privately owned, family oriented campground. There are 74 sites which include primitive tent sites, creek side sites for tents, pop-ups or small RV’s, full hook up sites (water, 30 amp. electric, sewer, cable) and a variety of cabins. It is back to nature camping at Indian Creek Campground. Unwind and relax to the sounds of one of our fast running streams. Test your fishing skills on Bunches Creek, which is stocked by the tribe’s Fisheries and Wildlife Management Program. Enjoy some time together as a family sitting around your campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. No, there isn’t a pool, but what kid doesn’t love playing in a stream!! Our amenities include tent and RV sites, full hook up sites, cabins, camp store, clean restrooms with hot showers, stocked trout stream, playground, dump station, laundry, scheduled activities and WIFI hotspots for internet access.

House rules for a happy stay
Policies
Please understand that we are a small campground and last minute cancellations have a significant impact on us. We understand that cancellations will occur, but hope you will understand the impact on our business. For this reason, our policy on reservations and cancellations is as follows:
Deposit is refundable (excluding holidays) if site/cabin is cancelled 14 days prior to arrival date. Cancellation fee is $10.00 for tent and RV sites and $20.00 for cabins. Deposits will be forfeited for cancellations within the 14 days of arrival.
NO SHOWS WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF THE RESERVATION.
Cabins and premium sites -2 night minimum on weekends
No refunds for holidays. (Memorial Day, Father's Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Halloween).
Holidays -3 night minimum stay
No refunds after 1 hour.
No refunds for inclement weather.
You will be charged for the days you reserved.
No refunds after check-in. No refunds for early departure. No refunds for inclement weather.
Rules & regulations
Drive carefully and slowly throughout the campground. The speed limit in the campground is 5 MPH. The speed limit on Bunches Creek and Indian Creek Roads is 15 MPH. WATCH FOR CHILDREN.
QUIET HOURS are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Please turn radios & TV’s off and restrict noise so you don’t disturb your neighbors. Even during the day, radios must be kept at a volume so they can only be heard in your site. Your neighbors did not come here to listen to your music.
Loud, profane or abusive language will not be tolerated. Rowdiness and drunkenness are prohibited. You WILL BE EJECTED.
There is a limit of 6 people and 2 vehicles per site. All vehicles and guests must have a car pass which can be obtained at the office
All camping equipment and vehicles must be confined to your site and must not extend into other campsites.
Check out time for campsites is 12 noon; check in time is 1 PM. Check out time for cabins is 11 AM; check in time is 2 PM. If you wish to stay later, please check with the office to make sure your site is not reserved.
For the convenience of other campers, please keep your site clean. Dispose of trash in the trash cans located throughout the campground. There is a dumpster located in the campground on Indian Creek Road. Please do not throw glass or cans in fire rings or in the creek. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground.
Alcoholic beverages are permitted on your site only.
Please keep the bathhouse clean. Please notify the office of any problems in the bathhouse. Please accompany and supervise young children in the bathhouse.
Fireworks, firearms(including BB, pellet & air soft guns), generators, golf carts, Motorized transportation including motorized bicycles, SxS’s and 4-wheelers (Any unregistered and uninsured motorized transportation vehicle) are PROHIBITED.
DO NOT CUT ANY TREES OR BRANCHES FROM TREES OR SHRUBS. You may collect any wood or branches lying on the ground in your site.
Please do not leave the boundary of the campground up Indian Creek Road. This is private property. Please respect our neighbors.
Leashed pets are welcome. NO pets are allowed in the bathhouse. Please clean up after your pet, and DO NOT LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED. Maximum of 2 pets per site. Do not allow your pet to bark excessively. ALL Dogs MUST be physically leashed at all times. No electronic leashes or fences. NO exceptions.
We have 4 pet friendly cabins. There is a limit of 2 pets per pet friendly cabin. Guests must register their pets at the office and pay the pet fee. Any violators will be asked to leave the campground without a refund.
Please be honest and pay for all overnight guests. Site fees are for 2 persons. You must pay for all additional children and/or adults.
