This camping area provides a unique opportunity for the general public to spend time on the lake. There are 65 RV campsites at a cost of $30 per night for 30-amp service and $35 per night for 50-amp service. Dual 30/50 amp are $35 per night. NOTE: Sites 1-6 and 64 and 65 are waterfront sites and rental for these sites are $45 per night with no monthly discount. A RV waste dump station and shared bath house are available for campers. Cabin renters must bring their own linens.

Cabin

Cabins sleep 4-6 depending on bed combination. Cabins typically have at 1-2 full beds and 1-2 bunk beds. Cabin does not have bathroom or running water. Must use bathhouse and cook on outside grill. You must also bring your own linens for the beds. No pets.

Park Policy

Refund requests must be made 14 days prior to the reservation start date. No refunds for early departures.

Rules & Regulations

Arrival / Departure  

Photo ID is required at check-in. Campers must check in with the Ranger or office before proceeding to campsite.  

Check-in time for campsites & cabins is 3:00pm, check-out is 1:00pm. 

Main gate closes at 11:00pm and re-opens at 6:00am.

Safety / Courtesy

No deadly or concealed weapons (firearms, fireworks, explosives, etc.). 

No glass bottles, alcoholic beverages greater than 6%, and/or controlled substances.

No abusive, vulgar language and/or loud music at any time.

Children under 12 must remain under adult supervision.

Quiet time is from 10:00pm-7:00am

Vehicles / Parking 

Maximum of 2 vehicles per site. Vehicles and trailers must be contained to your site. 

Please do not park in unrented sites or common areas. Do not block roadway at any time. 

Overflow parking is available for guests & trailers in our boat launch upper parking grass area. Guest parking is $10.00 per day.

Autos & trailers entering the park must be currently tagged & insured. No ATV’s or off-road vehicles allowed.  

Golf carts are allowed for a convenience purpose with purchase of $75.00 annual permit from the office and proof of liability insurance. 

Golf Carts must remain on paved or gravel surfaces

No unlicensed drivers of golf carts permitted.  

Washing vehicles and campers onsite is prohibited.

Pets

Campers must provide current rabies records for all dogs during check-in process. Paperwork must list breed of dog, date of rabies vaccine and expiration. Rabies vaccines must be administered 21 days prior to start of your reservation.

Rabies tags must be worn at all times per NC state law.

Rabies certificate must be on file prior to arrival for after hours check-in

PCLA highly recommends your dog be fully vaccinated.

Pets are required to be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times.

No tethering allowed.

All pets must be contained in a manner not to come off of the owner's campsite unless on a 6ft handheld leash and should never be left outside unattended.

Pets are not allowed in bathhouses, day use swimming & fishing areas, cabins, or playground areas.

Exceptions are service animals, emotional support dogs, and authorized search and rescue dogs.

Pet owners are required and responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pet stations are located throughout the campground.

Pet owners may be asked to remove aggressive or noisy pets from the park.

Per insurance requirements, the following dog breeds will not be allowed in the park: Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepard, Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Doberman Pinchers, Chow Chow, Presa Canario, Boxer, and Dalmatian.

Pets must not be lest unattended. 

Trash Disposal

Please do not discard household trash in restroom or park trash receptacles.  

Dumpsters & trash bags are available for proper disposal of your trash.

Campsite

Two tents OR one RV & one tent with a maximum of 6 people per campsite.

Campsites should be kept neat & organized, presenting a pleasing appearance. 

Please no outside electrical units (i.e. refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, etc.) Dorm room size refrigerators are acceptable. 

For safety purposes, inflatable pools, hot tubs, slip & slides, etc. are not permitted.

No burning of trash and/or fires outside of the fire pit or grill. 

No driving of nails or other objects into trees. Hammocks are to be temporary. Clotheslines are prohibited.

No outside drying of undergarments/ street clothing. Outside drying of beach towels and swim suits are acceptable (on a temporary basis).

Valuable items including RV awnings should be stored away when away from your site. 

Management is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss to either property or person.

All gray and black water must be contained in holding tanks and disposed of at the dump station located at the entrance of the campground.
