Large Group / Family Reunion Reservations

Large groups and family reunions are planned far in advance, and once reservations have been made for a period of time, it is difficult for the resort to make those available to others planning large groups.

A one night's deposit on all lodging units are due upon reservation. Remaining balance will be billed and must be paid 120 days before check-in.

CANCELLATION POLICY: LARGE GROUPS: Large group reservation cancellation policy is as follows:

Large Group Cancellation Policy:

46+ days notice: Deposit is refunded minus a 15% processing fee based on the deposit amount.

45 days notice:  No cancellations or changes; 100% cancellation fee based on the TOTAL reservation cost will be charged. Resort Management may grant a partial refund for rebooking of canceled reservation.

If full payment has not been received, card used for the deposit will be charged for the full reservation cost. If the canceled units are reserved and paid in full by another guest, original customer will be refunded for the re-reserved units.

Example: Large group cancels 5 units less than 45 days prior to check-in. The resort charges the original group the full reservation cost. The resort rents out 3 of those units for the dates of the original stay. The credit card used for the deposit will be refunded for the 2 units re-reserved minus 15% processing fee.

Family Reunion Notes

We will happily hold units for family reunions and assign them to individual people at their request. Members of your group should contact us to let us know which units they are reserving. Any held units not reserved for an individual within 30 days of initial hold will be released from the hold and open for reservations to the general public.

If check-in date is within 90 days of initial hold, held units not claimed by an individual 7 days after initial hold will be released from the hold and open for reservations to the general public.

Rules & regulations

Early departures will not be entitled to a refund.

Quiet time at the resort is 11:00 pm - 7:00 am.

In order to ensure the peace and serenity of all guests, please use the trails for riding. Using Hoover's parking lot or resort area for a racetrack or repetitive riding is not permitted.

To keep the number of guests at our resort in compliance with regulations, please note the number of guests you selected for your lodging selection. We cannot exceed the occupancy listed with each accommodation. If you have changes to those numbers, be sure to contact us right away. We would prefer to avoid an uncomfortable conversation about the number of guests you may be trying to lodge.

To avoid congestion at the resort, you are only allowed two vehicles at each of the cabins, a trailer counts as a vehicle, but it does not apply to UTVs. The parking around the cabins is limited, but we have areas around the resort for UTV trailers. We count on our guests to comply with all state and local recommendations, show personal responsibility, and be considerate to other guests at the resort.

All cabins have a two-night minimum stay. Payment in full is required before check-in. Hoovers will notify guests via email 45 days before the balance due will be processed.

All cabins and other buildings, including the pavilion area, are smoke-free. A $200.00 cleaning fee will be charged to guests' credit card if evidence of smoking is found inside any building on the property.

Any items belonging to the resort that are determined to be damaged or missing, guest will be charged the replacement cost plus 50%.

NO tents are allowed because of our sprinkler system and other guests that use the lawn for activities.

Dog policy

We are dog lovers at Hoovers. It is the irresponsible and inconsiderate dog owner that we don't care for at our resort. Due to irresponsible dog owners in the past, we now strictly enforce this dog policy.

All dogs must be approved by Hoovers management before adding one to your reservation. Please call us for more details. Only one approved dog allowed per booking.

Hoovers is not responsible for the care and safety of your dog.

Hoovers welcomes a small traveling dog that is under 30 pounds and less than 24 inches tall. A non-refundable dog fee is required at $25/night for a cabin stay, and $10.00/night for RV.

Dogs only at the resort and all dogs must be registered with resort management. There are no exceptions.

If your dog is not hypoallergenic, it must always be kenneled while in the cabins.

No dogs are allowed on any furniture.

All dogs must always be leashed on the property. You will be responsible for any damage or chaos caused by your dog.

If you are part of a family/friend group, the guest that made the reservation will be responsible and must ensure that all family members and friends follow this policy.

If your dog is a barking dog when left alone, you must take your dog with you. If not, then your dog must be kenneled in your RV or cabin.

You will be responsible for all dog waste. Please walk your dog off-property. Do not let them go on the grass. Responsible owners clean up after their dog or extra fees will be assessed.

Your cabin will be thoroughly inspected for dog hair or damage. This is NOT part of the $50 dog fee. If ANY dog hair is found in the cabin, it will be at management's discretion to charge extra cleaning fees. We suggest you take some time to inspect and clean your cabin before you leave.

Management reserves the right to disapprove or request the departure of a guest for non-compliance with our dog policy. In cases of unsupervised dogs or dogs in violation of our policy, Management reserves the right to refer the dog to the local authorities, shelters, or boarding companies. There are no refunds due to non-compliance to this policy.
