Hok-Si-La Park is a 252 acre, municipally owned and operated park located on the Minnesota side of Lake Pepin. The park offers spectacular views of the Mississippi River, Lake Pepin, and the surrounding bluffs. Enjoy the park by experiencing tent camping at its best, launch a boat at the public boat ramp, or swim and relax at the sandy beach. Take time to explore the mile long stretch of Mississippi River shoreline, check out the interpretive center, take the kids to the playground, play volleyball or basketball, enjoy a picnic or relax at the chapel. Park buildings, including the dining hall and screened shelters, as well as camping sites, are open mid-April through mid-October. The park is open year-round for an outing with your family, hiking, bird watching or a stroll on the beach. Winter offers groomed cross-country ski trails. Schools, 4-H clubs, family reunions, birthday parties, weddings, company picnics, service organizations, church groups, and outdoor organizations find the park has the space and amenities they desire.

Rules & regulations

Check in time and check out time. 2 p.m.

We are a tent only campground.

Firewood policy: We sell cut and split fire wood. 

Only certified wood will be allowed in the park.

Hok-Si-La has a mosquito control program: Call for more information.

Showers are coin operated...(50 cents for 3 minutes).

Train noises (including whistles) can be heard during the night.

Reservations taken up to one year in advance. 

Camping season: Mid-April through Mid-October (weather permitting).

Park and outhouses are open year-round for day use. Bathhouses open Mid April and stay open until mid October (weather permitting).

The cabins are named after river boats that are part of Lake City's history with the Mississippi River/Lake Pepin. Each cabin sleeps up to 6 adults/kids. (Interior is spacious...footprint is 16 feet by 24 feet.) Two queen beds, two bunk beds and a table with benches. Beds are 80 inches long (adult friendly). ADA accessible with heat and A/C. All cooking needs to be done outside. Each cabin has a fire pit and picnic table outside plus open porch. No pets inside of cabins. Out house across the road and modern showers/toilets easy walking distance. (651-345-3855) Cabin closest to main area is Avalon. Washington is furthest from main area.

Check in time is 2 p.m. check out time...off site & key to office by noon.

Tents are not allowed outside of cabins.
