But the real magic of our RV park lies in our location. With breathtaking views of the bay and mountains, the world famous Homer Spit offers the perfect spot for your Alaskan adventure. Whether you're looking to relax and enjoy the scenery or embark on an outdoor excursion, our park has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The park is adjacent to the Homer Fishing Lagoon.
The common building houses the office, bathrooms, coffee bar, rooftop deck and panoramic window seating area. Along with BBQ grills and patio seating, this area is open for all guests to enjoy meals or play games. It is a warm place to gather and visit out of your RV. Rest assured with our 24 hr staffed office and staffed shower/laundry building.
Take a stroll along the beach with bald eagles overhead and otters swimming offshore. Early morning sunrises over the ocean are exquisite. At night, gather with other guests and swap stories about your day's adventures. It's these moments of connection and community that make our RV park feel like a home away from home.
Located just steps away from some of the best seafood restaurants, shops, and attractions in Homer, the Heritage RV Park is the perfect home base for exploring all the area has to offer. Full refund (no fee) if notice is received before noon, 24 hours before the arrival date. No refund for NO SHOWS.
Rules & regulations
Site types (beachfront, pull-through, fishing lagoon) are guaranteed with your credit card and fully prepaid. Site numbers are assigned at check-in. Please notify us in advance if we may accommodate a mobility challenged guest. Unscheduled extensions to your stay may require a site change and depend on availability. We are in a high demand area and often do not have flexibility to make last minute changes. Notify us in advance of check in with preference to be near friends/family; depends on availability.
One RV vehicle and one additional non-camping vehicle per site. If there are more than two vehicles you may be required to rent an additional site (if available). Children under age 18 stay free. Free boat/trailer parking in a separate area is available to all guests. ATV use in the RV park and on the beach in front of the park is prohibited.
As an RV park, we cater to self-contained camping units with toilets. Bathrooms, laundry and shower room are not open 24 hours.
Beachfront sites are drive-in, designed for motorhomes, since the beach is directly in front of the site. If you have a trailer or 5th wheel, it must be backed in, which places the hookup pedestal opposite the hookups on the trailer. Hoses and cords must run underneath the unit and over to the other side, so you may need an additional length of septic hose. No hooking up to neighbors. All other site types (not beachfront) are either back-in or pull-through, allowing trailers and 5th wheels to hook up to the left/drivers side of the unit.
Note the size restrictions on ISLAND and STANDARD BEACHFRONT. If you reserved a site online without regard to restrictions, you may not fit. If the entire park is full, there will not be another site to move into and you may have to stay elsewhere, on short notice or late at night.
Sat TV and WIFI may not work in every site due to interference from other metal vehicles, weather, personal equipment inside the camping unit and other conditions beyond our control. Cable TV is not available on the Homer Spit as we are considered a remote location, but we have access to some DISH channels. No refunds or compensation for inability to use these services at the site.
Per city regulations, open fires must be on the beach. Each beachfront and fishing lagoon site has a fire pit for use by the guest renting that site. No fires in other site types. All guests may use hibachi-style cookers and have access to the gas grill. Well-behaved pets of any breed are welcome. We offer free pet-walking services if you will not be “home” during the day; please ask at the office.
A prepaid reservation cannot not be transferred into someone else's name, per credit card company regulations.
NO TENT/CAR CAMPING. Must be a self-contained RV with a bathroom. Tents are allowed only with an RV.
