Herington Lake

The City of Herington is currently partnered with the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Program. City Fishing/Hunting Licenses and City Fishing/Hunting Boat licenses are not required. City Recreational boating licenses can be purchased from your camp host. All State of Kansas licenses are required.

Annual Camping permit rate is $35.00 and expires 12/31 of each year. One Annual permit per camper/vehicle. The Daily Camping rate is $8.00 per night. Electrical hookup is $10.00 per night. Check in time is 12:00 PM and Check out time is 11:00 AM. When making your reservation, make sure you only choose one of the options (Daily, Annual, or Already have Annual). RV camping is permitted in designated camp areas. Each camp site may be occupied by one RV camper and up to two tents. Additional tents will be charged additional fees. All campers must have their registration clearly visible at the site. All Campers must register with the Camp Host on the same day as arrival. No Camper shall occupy a campsite for more than 14 consecutive days. Campers may contact the camp host to apply for additional days. Campers must not leave the campsite unattended for more than 48 hours. Campers must park in a manner that allows the optimum use of electrical outlets. Campers blocking the use of the outlet shall be considered camping at the outlet site and shall be charged for the camping space and electrical use whether used or not.

Golf carts and smooth tire mobility vehicles are permitted at speeds not to exceed 10 MPH. All-terrain four wheelers and motorcycles are prohibited unless licensed and insured and kept on the roadway.
