Guajome Regional Park is located in the coastal community of Oceanside and has a little bit of everything that San Diego County offers. Just 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the park is a great place to visit year-round, and is close to many natural and historic points of interest. Some 4.5 miles of multi-use, non-motorized trails meander through diverse Southern California habitats such as woodlands, chaparral, wetlands and mixed grasslands. Two ponds attract a migratory birds and serve as home to a variety of fish that will test the skills of any angler. Guajome also has two day-use areas with new playgrounds, a basketball court, restrooms and lots of green lawn space make this park ideal for picnicking – along with 33 tent and RV campsites, a caravan pavilion and a rustic cabin for those wishing to extend their stay overnight.

Rules & regulations

No generator use permitted.

Parking on pavement only.

Campfires must be extinguished by 11:00 pm.

Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic beverages are permitted providing the alcohol content does not exceed 20%.

Campfires: Campfires must be confined to existing stoves or fire rings. See range for current campfire rules. No fires after 11 p.m.

Drones: Remotely piloted aircraft and drones are prohibited.

Firearm & Weapons: Firearms, fireworks, and weapons are not permitted in County Parks.

Generators: Generators mat not operate between the hours of 10pm to 8am. Excessive noise and loud music is prohibited at all times.

Noise: To ensure each park guest’s pleasure and peace, quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Excessive noise and loud music is prohibited at all times.

Pets: Peta are permitted if they are properly restrained and under the control of the owner. Dogs must be licensed, restrained on a leash no longer than six feet, and attended at all times.

Trees: Do not tie or hang ropes, wire, or tents to trees. Do not drive nails, screws, or staples into trees.

Vegetation & Natural Features: All plants, animals, natural features, and & archaeological resources are fully protected and may not be damaged, injured, or removed. Please check with your ranger for firewood — he or she generally has a supply to sell for campfires. Please do not gather it from within the park.

Waste Water: Please dispose of all waste water in an approved dump station, never on the ground

Youth: All persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legally responsible adult with medical authorization for each minor while camping in the park.
