Rules & regulations

IMPORTANT TIMES

Check-in hours are 2 – 7 PM on your scheduled arrival day.

Check-out time is 12 PM.

If your plans fall outside of these times, you are welcome to call ahead to inquire if other options are available.

Quiet Hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. Disturbing noises, loud vehicles, outside cooking, voices louder than a whisper, bright lights, or anything else that disrupts is prohibited during this time. All minors must be onsite by 10 PM.

GENERAL CAMPGROUND

Take care of our beautiful trees and natural surroundings. Do not drive in nails, mutilate, or cut down vegetation.

Please be kind to our wildlife and always view them from a safe distance. Do not tempt them by leaving out food, waste & wrappers, or any other attractants. After all, we are guests in their habitat, so do not approach, touch, or feed anything that is not your family or pet … especially the golfers!

Minimal hammocks, climbing nets, and/or clotheslines are acceptable within your own campsite if they do not harm anything or disrupt others’ enjoyment of the campground.

Please respect other guests, and do not cross through their campsites. Always stay on marked roadways & paths.

To maintain the peaceful nature of our campground, generators are not allowed unless there is a power outage.

Gatherings of family and friends can be fun if they don’t get too loud or disrupt others’ enjoyment of the campground. Any gatherings of 10 people or more must be pre-approved by the campground director. If available, space may be reserved at the lodge for such gatherings.

CAMPSITE

Each campsite may have up to 6 registered guests: typically, adults and children from the same household.

Only 2 pets are allowed per site unless express permission is given prior to arrival.

In addition to the primary camping unit, one additional sleeping or dining tent is permitted (if space allows). Switching from your designated campsite or using space outside of your campsite is not allowed.

Campsite amenities include a fire ring, a picnic table, water, and 20A electric. (30A & 50A electric and sewer hookup is available at select locations.)

Please keep your site and surrounding areas clean and orderly. Do not throw food, trash, or cigarette butts onto the ground or into fire pits. Not only does it create an unpleasant camp, but it attracts unwelcome critters to your door.

Deposit all refuse in the marked green recycle and garbage bins located throughout the campground. Recycle bins are intended for beverage bottles & cans which are collected and returned as a fundraiser for our local scout troop.

WATER & WASTEWATER

Maine state law requires the use of a backflow prevention valve at all campsite water faucets. Please keep it in place when connecting your water hose and leave it behind when you depart.

Dumping of grey or black water (dishwater, bathwater, or sewage) onto the ground is against the law. Ensure you are properly connected to the sewer hookup and that no leaks are present. Otherwise, utilize the two sanitation stations available within the campground or take it with you.

Wherever you flush it, do not deposit anything other than minimal RV-Safe toilet paper into the sewer/septic system.

NO WIPES ARE FLUSHABLE no matter what the package says.

VEHICLES

SLOW DOWN! Speed Limit is 9 MPH. No gas pedal needed, and you will not reach your destination any faster. Respect kids of all ages at play, the animals we love, and the peaceful surroundings of Fogg Brook Resort. Excessive speed or other unsafe driving is cause for removal from the campground.

All passenger and tow vehicles must always display a parking pass from the rearview mirror.

You may safely park up to two vehicles on your designated site (if space allows). Please do not drive over the fire ring, important family members, or friends.

Parking at unoccupied campsites is prohibited. Use the parking areas in the campground or next to the lodge.

Ensure roadways are always clear for others, as well as emergency vehicles.

Vehicle repairs, oil changes, car washes, or similar actions are prohibited. If an emergency repair is required, permission must be obtained in advance from the campground director.

ATVs may not be ridden on Fogg Brook Resort property unless express permission is granted in advance.

Personal golf carts are allowed by permit only and must be accompanied by a separate registration and fee. Contact campground staff during reservations or arrival to obtain the registration form and required sticker.

You must have insurance and a valid driver’s license to operate any motorized vehicle on Fogg Brook property.

CAMPFIRES

To prevent the spread of invasive species, no out-of-state firewood is allowed in the campground. Local firewood is available for purchase at the lodge. When directed by State Officials, fires may not be permitted.

Campfires must be contained within the provided fire ring. Do not move the ring without permission from camp staff.

Campfires are for fun and occasional cooking. They are not trash pits, ashtrays, or compost piles. Only burn local firewood & paper; use the green garbage & recycle bins for all else. Do not burn pallets or construction debris.

Fires may not be left unattended or excessively high. We reserve the right to extinguish fires. We also reserve the right to seize any improperly secured s’mores or marshmallows.

All campfires must be fully extinguished by 11 PM.

SAFETY

A responsible adult 21 years or older must be at your site anytime children are present. When exploring the campground, children aged 9 and under must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Maine State Law requires all children aged 15 and under to wear helmets while riding bikes, skateboards, etc.

Alcoholic beverages should be enjoyed within your own campsite or when offered as part of a public gathering. Observe all signs and direction from resort staff regarding where alcohol may be consumed.

Excessive drinking, use, sale, or possession of illegal drugs, or unruly behavior will result in ejection from the campground without refund.

The use, display, or possession of firearms, fireworks, slingshots, BB guns, bazookas, tanks, submarines, or any other weaponry is prohibited on Fogg Brook Resort property.

For safety and privacy reasons, flying drones, Chinese lanterns, or any other flying objects are prohibited.

SWIMMING POOL

WARNING: NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY – POOL USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK

All children aged 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult

NO DIVING allowed!

Glass containers of any kind are prohibited in the pool area. Even one small break can close the pool for weeks!

Pets are not welcome in the pool area (no matter how much that cutie begs).

According to Maine State Law, all swimmers must shower before entering the pool.

Babies & Toddlers must use swim shorts in the pool. Regular diapers are not allowed in the pool.

Blue & White Safety Items (life ring, ropes, deep-end rope), first aid kit, rescue breather, and hook are not toys. Do not play with or climb onto these state-required safety items. In case of an emergency, call 911.

Pool is open from dawn until dusk; however, you must remain quiet if swimming before 8am. Pool is closed periodically for routine cleaning.

Our swimming pool is governed by Maine health code and is subject to closure if water chemistry is not in balance or for any other reason deemed unsafe.

DOGS & PETS

We love good dogs on a leash. We don’t love irresponsible humans that neglect to pick up after them.

Unattended, off-leash, loud, or nuisance pets are not welcome here.

Dogs must be on a leash or in a kennel – even on your own campground.

Pet waste must be picked up immediately, bagged, and deposited in a designated garbage bin. It MAY NOT be

thrown in the woods or left anywhere else for others to discover.

Up-to-date tags and vaccination paperwork is required for all pets.

Pets are not allowed in the lodge, clubhouse, bathhouse, laundry, or pool area.

Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets.

SMOKING

Smoking of any kind is prohibited in the lodge, clubhouse, bathhouse, laundry, pool area, playground / recreation areas, or gatherings where children are present.

Cigarette and cigar butts, chewing tobacco spit or any other tobacco debris is unhealthy for animals, children and often leaves an unsightly mess that does not easily breakdown. Deposit all butts & debris into your own containers or in designated receptacles near our buildings. Once fully extinguished, throw these containers into the garbage.

Please respect the wishes of those around you, including neighbor campsites when smoking.

WI-FI & INTERNET

Basic Wi-Fi is complimentary for all campground guests and allows for checking email and simple browsing. Guests must login periodically to the basic service to ensure only active users are using our limited available bandwidth.

Premium Wi-Fi is available for purchase for more intensive, uninterrupted use, such as TV streaming, uploading or downloading photos & video, and working-from-home. Verify you have a good signal before purchase.

Wi-Fi is provided by a third-party service and may not match the same levels you experience elsewhere. Service level is subject to many factors, including tree coverage, nearby RVs, number of users, and weather.

If all else fails, unplug from the confines of your rig, and go play in the woods. Just sayin’…

VISITORS

Up to 6 registered guests are permitted per campsite and must be named during check-in. Anyone else coming to your campsite is considered a visitor or vendor and is subject to the same rules and expectations as our guests.

Fogg Brook Resort is private property, and ALL guests, visitors, and vendors must stop and check-in at the campground lodge to register their vehicle and pay any applicable fees. This is required for the safety of all guests and is governed by state law.

Day visitors coming to your site only, for 3 hours or less must check-in but are exempt from paying an entrance fee.

Each visitor aged 3 and older who participates in any recreational activities, enters the pool area, uses the bathhouse, or stays longer than 3 hours must pay a visitor fee per day.

Overnight guests must depart by 12 PM the following day or must pay another visitor fee.

Visitors and vendors must register their vehicle, display the provided parking pass, and park in a designated area. Do not park on an unoccupied campsite or the road.

Guests are fully responsible for the actions of their visitors or any vendor coming to perform work on their site.

We welcome the pets of registered guests, but do not allow the pets of visitors. Please leave them at home.

WRAPPING UP

All guests and their visitors use the resort facilities at their own risk. The registered guest agrees to indemnify and hold campground owners and management harmless from any loss, cost, or damage incurred because of the activities of the registered guest, their family members, invitees, and visitors.

All personal property brought into the campground is at the registered guest’s risk. Campground owners and management shall bear no responsibility for the damage, loss, or theft of such property.

All guests assume the responsibility of maintaining liability, fire, wind, and other hazard insurance coverage on their personal property. We are not responsible for damage to any camper or personal property for any reason including an accident, fire, vandalism, or an act of God (i.e., wind, lightning, hail, fallen branches, trees, etc.).

Management reserves the right to remove anyone they feel is negatively affecting the enjoyment or safety of other guests, without refund.

Management may, at their discretion, interpret, change, or add to these policies in a verbal or written manner.

Please be respectful and kind to your neighbors and our staff; you should expect the same in return.

If you have read this far, congratulations! This is a lot of the little stuff. The big stuff is having fun with your friends and family in the great outdoors. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your time at Fogg Brook Resort!
