Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground is the place to stay and play on on the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can unplug, relax and refresh with friends and family in one of our 13 full hook-up RV sites, 6 one-room camping cabins, 5 tent sites or 8 motel rooms. We are close to Mabry Mill, the Blue Ridge Music Center and all of the hiking, paddling, wineries, shopping and history the Blue Ridge Parkway and southwest Virginia have to offer.

RV Sites

We have 13 full hook-up RV sites, all with 50/30 amp and WiFi. Sites 1 through 4 are pull through and 5 through 13 are back in. Three of our back in sites, 9, 11 and 13, have decks. All sites include a fire ring and picnic table, and they are close to our bath house, apple orchard and nature trails.

RV Sites with Decks

Three of our nine back in sites- 9, 11 and 13 - have decks that add valuable outdoor space to the site. Like all of our other sties, they also have free Wi-Fi, water, sewer, electric, a fire ring and a picnic table.

Cabins

We have six rustic, one-room, camping cabins. Each cabin has a queen bed with linens, minifridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, fire ring, charcoal grill, picnic table and Wi-Fi. Cabins 1, 2, 5 and 6 have futons that fold out to a full-size bed. Cabins 3 and 4 have bunkbeds instead of the futons. The cabins are near our bathhouse and peach orchard and have views of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cabins with futons comfortably sleeps up to three adults or two adults and two small children. Cabins 3 and 4 sleep up to four people.

Tent Sites

We have five tents sites with water, electric, WiFi, and a picnic table. Sites 14 and 15 have a fire ring and a charcoal grill. Sites 16, 17 and 18 have fire rings with a cooking grate. The sites are a combination of grass and gravel. They are close to our bath house which features five, private bathrooms and hot showers.

Policies
Park Policy

Refunds, minus a processing fee of 8 percent of your total reservation, will be provided when you notify the campground more than 72 hours before the day of your arrival. Less than 72 hours, you forfeit your deposit and any other monies paid. No shows will be charged the full balance due.

Rules & Regulations

We are accepting RV, motel, cabin and tent reservations for the 2023 camping season, which runs from April 1 to November 1.

Check in and Check out:

Check in is 2 pm. Check out is 11 am.

Fees for early check in or late check out are $10.

We do not offer early check in for motel room or cabin reservations unless the room or cabin was unoccupied the night before. This gives us the maximum amount of time for cleaning. Late check out is available upon request and depends on the availability of your cabin or motel room.

For RV or tent reservations, early check in or late check out must be requested and depends on the availability of your site. RVs arriving early will have to park at the overlook just south of the campground. We do not have overflow parking.

For all reservations, the earliest check-in time is noon. There are no exceptions to this. Late check out is 1 pm. After 1 pm, guests will be charged for another night’s stay.

Guests arriving after 7 pm will have their information waiting for them in our nightly reservation box next to our office door.

Pet Fees:
Pet fees for the cabins and motel are $10 per pet, per night. Pet fees do not apply to the RV or tent sites. We do expect that pets will be kept on a leash at all times and that owners will clean up after them. Please do not leave your pets unattended.

At the camp store:
Virginia state law prohibits firewood from being brought in from other locations. Firewood, ice, ice cream, cold drinks, souvenirs, locally made gifts and some camping supplies are sold in the camp store. Laundry facilities are available for guests.
