    When the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument was declared in 1996, an entrepreneur came to Escalante and bought the land that is now Escalante Cabins & RV Park. He began construction of a RV Park, but failed to complete the work and abandoned the project unfinished. For two decades, the unfinished site was an eyesore that greeted travelers on Scenic Byway 12 as they entered Escalante. In 2016 Steve & Jenae had a vision of what this property could be and pursued purchase of the acreage for rental cabins, RV sites, and a tent camping area. After receiving the blessing of local authorities, they worked through the summer of 2016 to complete 27 RV sites, tent sites, and bathroom facilities. By the fall the park was open and ready to greet & serve the traveling public. The park started with 1 cabin, and in the years since, they have added 3 more cabins and 2 vacation houses. Each year they have been able to expand and provide more facilities. The construction of the main building and the addition of landscape decor and plantings has created a much more visually appealing entrance to Escalante!

    20% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. You may cancel up until 14 days prior to your arrival and have no other financial obligation. After the 14-day window opens, there are no refunds, regardless of the reason. We count 14 days from midnight the day before your arrival, i.e., a booking starting on October 16th must be cancelled by midnight, U.S. Mountain Time, October 1st. There are no refunds for early departure.

    • EARLY DEPARTURES. Please understand, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Your lodging, RV or Tent site has been held for you. Because we held this site for you and no one else could reserve it, no refunds are issued for early departure unless you have Worry-Free Booking. Then Worry-Free Booking rules apply.
    • The full amount of your reservation will be collected in the event of a no-show.
    • Moved/rescheduled reservations must be an equivalent stay to receive full credit for any advance payment and may be up to 1 year in the future dependent on availability. Rescheduling beyond 1 year in the future must be approved.
    • There is no charge to move a reservation as long as it is completed by noon 14 days prior to the original scheduled arrival date.

    We cannot always guarantee individual RV & Tent sites. We will try our best to accommodate our guests, but we do reserve the right to change sites at any time without notice.

    RV & Tent sites: check-in 12 Noon/check-out 11am

    Cabins: check-in after 3pm/check-out 10am

    Rules & regulations

    • To make your stay with us enjoyable, please read and adhere to our park policy.
    • Our RV Park is family-friendly. Please keep alcoholic beverage consumption to a minimum and be respectful of your neighbors. Loud or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated. Illegal drugs are absolutely not allowed.
    • Quiet time is from 10 PM to 7 AM. Cabin check-in time is after 3 PM and RV check-in time is noon. Cabin check-out time is 10 AM and RV check-out time is 11 AM. Please contact us if another arrangement needs to be made and we will do our best to accommodate. Extra charges may apply.
    • Speed Limit in the park is 5 MPH.
    • Help us keep our place nice for all our guests by picking up your trash (including cigarette butts) and keeping your site appropriately clean. We have a dumpsters and trash cans available for your convenience.
    • Wood & charcoal campfires are allowed in the designated fire pits only. Please don't move fire rings. Firewood may be purchased at the office. Absolutely NO collecting firewood from the property is allowed. Propane fire pits are allowed in sites where wood fires are prohibited (#11-#14, #24-#27, #53-#54).
    • No washing of RVs, vehicles or ATV's is allowed at ECRV. If you are interested in a car wash, there is one in the center of town.
    • Please keep the roads free and clear and park only in your designated space. Vehicle Repair work is not allowed without first being cleared with the front office.
    • We have done our best to make the Escalante Cabins & RV Park a safe and enjoyable place to stay and visit. Of course, there are things that are out of our control and we expect that if you choose to stay at our RV park, you will take responsibility for your own safety and the care of your rig.
    • You are liable for the actions of your pets, children, and guests, and are financially responsible for any damage done to park facilities.

    Pet Policy

    • Your furry friends are welcome here in the RV & Tent areas. To allow as many furry visitors as appropriate, please keep your pets on a leash unless within the Leash-Free Area near the flag pole. Please register each pet upon arrival and please clean up after your pet. Unregistered pets may be fined $50.00 per pet.
    • No aggressive, threatening or disruptive behavior from any breed of animal will be accepted. (As one guest said, "No barkers or biters, No nippers or yippers.") Any animal that is creating an unwelcoming environment in our park will be asked to leave with their owners, with no refunds available. Ultimately, it is each pet owner's responsibility to manage their pet and their pet's safety. Thank you for your understanding.
    • PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE CABINS & VACATION HOUSES. A $275 cleaning fee will be assessed if pet(s) are found in the rentals. No exceptions!
    • Pets must weigh under 75 pounds.
    • Pets must be registered. If pets are not registered, a $50.00 charge will be imposed for each pet.
