Echoes of The Sea

Echoes of the Sea strives to provide its guests with a clean, safe, and friendly environment. The following policies/house rules have been established based on industry standards, management, and operational procedures. These policies/house rules are considered to be part of our reservation agreement with you.

Motel/Guest Room Check-in: after 3p. Check-in will not be allowed until the full balance of the room reservation is paid.

Motel/Guest Room Check-out: by 11a

RV Space/Tent Site Check-in: after 2p and before 9p unless other arrangements are discussed and approved in advance by the property owner/manager. Check-in will not be allowed until the full balance of the space reservation is paid.

RV Space/Tent Site Check-out: by 12p

Quiet Time

Out of respect and consideration for other guests and your hosts, we ask each guest to observe our quiet time from 10p - 8a each day.

Pets

We are a dog-friendly location (with fee in motel). Guests must let us know at or before check-in that they are traveling with a dog or dogs. Guests traveling with dogs will pay an extra fee per night per room. Fee does not apply to RV or Tent sites. There is a limit of two dogs per guest room.

We ask that pet guardians be responsible for picking up after their dogs. Waste disposal bags will be available on the property and/or by request.

Please ensure any animal outside of your guest space is leashed and attended. For the safety and well being of our guests, both human and animal; no free-roaming animals are permitted on the property.

If you need to leave your dog unattended in your guest space while you are gone, we ask that your dog/s be crated for their own safety.

Smoking/Vaping

All of our guest rooms and other indoor spaces are non-smoking. This includes e-cigarettes and vaping pens. There will be a $250 charge for smoking/vaping in any of these areas.

Smoking is permitted when at least 25 feet away from any door or window (whether open or closed) per RCW 70.160.

Trash and Recycling

Trash and recycling containers are available in the breezeway between the two motel buildings and in dumpsters in the RV/camping area. We ask that guests respect the safety of others and the well being of our planet by disposing of their trash and recycling in a responsible manner. Recyclable items include clean cardboard and paper, aluminum and tin cans, plastic bottles, and other items as noted on the dumpster. Glass and plastic bags are not recyclable and should be placed in the trash. All trash items must be in bags. Please use our dumpsters for disposal of standard household trash only. Dumping/disposal of other items is prohibited.

Please strive to leave the property in as good or better condition than when you arrived.

Use of Property Assets

Do not alter or remove motel property from the room. This includes towels, blankets, pillows, and other bedding. Please be aware that the full cost of any damage may include the full replacement cost of a damaged item, whether or not it can be repaired.

We do understand that accidents happen. Please notify us immediately if you need any cleaning products or supplies to help minimize damage to our property.

Firearms and Weapons

The safety and security of our guests and team members is of utmost importance to us. This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and team members, and pertains to the presence of firearms on Echoes of the Sea premises.

Echoes of the Sea recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.

Echoes of the Sea premises are private property. Our guests or visitors who are lawfully permitted to possess a firearm, may bring such firearm onto our premises for storage purposes only. Any guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on our property is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the property is located and ensuring that the firearm is:

1) unloaded;

2) secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest;

3) and securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room (or personal vehicle), except when transporting the firearm into or out of the motel.

Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave our premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

Miscellaneous

No fireworks are allowed on the property at any time.

Burning of candles in our guest rooms is prohibited.

Additional Parking

Each guest room, space, or site rental includes parking for one vehicle. There will be a charge of $7.50 per night for each additional vehicle and/or trailer.

Additional Guests

The rate for each room includes lodging for up to two guests (unless noted otherwise). There will be a charge of $10.00 per night for each additional person.

RV Spaces

Each RV space may have up to one RV, one vehicle, an open canopy or small, 2-person tent (restrictions apply; please contact property for details), and a maximum of six guests. There will be a charge of $7.50 per night for each additional vehicle and/or cargo trailer.

Tent Sites

Each Tent site may have one large tent or two small/medium (4-person or less) tents, an open canopy, and a maximum of six guests. There will be a charge of $7.50 per night for each additional vehicle and/or cargo trailer.

Liability

We are not responsible for accidents or injuries to guests, or for damages or loss of guests’ belongings.

All vehicles are parked at the risk of the owner. We will not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle or contents while parked on the property.
