Located approximately 6 miles north and west from the City of White Cloud in Newaygo County, you can experience this 156 acre park with 2,000 feet of frontage on the sparkling waters of Diamond Lake, an all-sports lake. Adjacent lands are owned by the Manistee National Forest. The campground currently offers 2 camping cabins, 60 campsites of which 24 are full hook-up (water, sewer and electric), and the remaining 36 sites are electric. There are two bathroom/shower buildings and a shelter building that can be reserved. Additionally the park contains a sanitation station, play areas, swimming beach, horseshoes, beach volleyball, hiking trails, picnic area, and enclosed shelter building.

Enjoy a hike in Michigan’s north woods. Starting from the trailhead at Diamond Lake County Park, adventurous hikers may trek forth on the 10 mile, circular, Birch Grove Trail. This trail through the Manistee National Forest passes through the only wildflower sanctuary (Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary) within the entire National Forest System. Birch Grove trail also connects with the National Park Service’s 2,000 mile long North Country National Scenic Trail.

Cabins

Sleeping up to 6 people comfortably, our camping cabins include: two bunk beds, a futon, refrigerator, microwave, ceiling fans, small electric heater, and a folding table with chairs. Outside each cabin has a porch, picnic table, grill and fire-ring.

Policies
Park Policy

In an effort to ensure fair distribution of campsites for all of our customers, the following Cancellation Policy is being implemented effective January 1, 2018.

Holiday and Special Events Cancellation: Cancellations for reservations that include a holiday or special event are non-refundable. There will be no exceptions. In addition, modifying holiday or special event reservations to other weekends will not be permitted.

HOLIDAYS AND SPECIAL EVENTS ASSESSED AN ADDITIONAL $5.00 PER NIGHT AND REQUIRE A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM RESERVATION.

2023 Holidays

Memorial Day May 25th – 30th

Independence Day – June 29th – July 6th

Labor Day – August 31st – September 5th

Hot Boat (Sandy Beach Only) September 7th – September 11th

Non-holiday Cancellations: Cancellations received 11 or more days in advance will be charged a $25 cancellation fee, with the remaining balance refunded to the customer. Reservations cancelled 10 or less days in advance will be charged the $25 cancellation fee and two nights camping fees, with the remaining balance refunded to the customer.

21-Day Cancellations: Cancellations received 11 or more days in advance will be charged a $50 cancellation fee, with the remaining balance refunded to the customer. Reservations cancelled 10 or less days in advance will be charged a $100 cancellation fee, with the remaining balance refunded to the customer.

Rules & Regulations

Camping Season: 4/28-10/8.

All vehicles are required to have a valid Newaygo County Park's motor vehicle permit ADHERED for park entrance.

All visitors must leave by 10:00 PM.

QUIET HOURS are in effect from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and are enforced.

Generators are not allowed to operate during quiet hours.

No pets are allowed inside cabins at any time.

Cabin Check In time is 3:00 PM and Check Out Time is 1:00 PM.
