Find Yourself at Cypress Valley

Remember the playfulness of childhood while retaining the creature comforts you’ve come to enjoy as an adult. Rekindle your spirit of adventure, experience the luxury of resting in nature, and return home senses sharpened--your more creative, enlivened self.

Since 2005, tens of thousands of guests have enjoyed Cypress Valley—whether zip lining with friends and family, proposing on a platform, sleeping in a treehouse (often for their honeymoon or anniversary), or even attending an enchanted wedding in the trees. Nature beckons guests to sleep in a hammock in the shade of a tree, explore our spring-fed creek, swim in our pond or pool, or walk through the wild flowers in spring.

Find yourself nestled next to ancient cypress trees, possibly here since before explorers from Europe found Turtle Island. Wrap yourself in a blanket and stargaze, listen to the owls, or follow the hundreds of fireflies lighting the creek-bed below. Sleeping in a tree is even better than you dreamt as a child. Each Cypress Valley treehouse is a unique expression of our commitment to sharing this beautiful land with a very light footprint. Stay the night (or a week) and go home renewed, refreshed, and recharged for life. Our treehouses have been featured in media from The New York Times and Texas Monthly to every local Austin News Show because they are truly an adventure worth having.

Yoki, Lofthaven, Juniper, and Willow treehouses each sleep two guests, and The Nest sleeps four guests regularly, but can accommodate up to six. Our Ranch House is on the ground, but the main room feels like a treehouse looking into the creek ravine through the treetops and sleeps up to 15. Each glamping tent sleeps two and surrounds the shared amenities area—BBQ grills, pool, and games area, as well as our new Camp Store where everyone onsite can get complimentary expresso drinks or buy snacks, drinks, or items they wish they'd remembered.

When you visit Cypress Valley we encourage you to let go of the stress and pressures of your life, maybe leave your cell phone and laptop aside for a little while. It's easy here to take time to enjoy the simple pleasures with those you are with. At first it feels like t's a treat, but you come to realize time in nature will reinvigorate you to be your most creative, intuitive, empowered self. Go home relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Our treehouses and Ranch House often book months in advance for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Once we have turned guests away for a special occasion, they will likely have booked elsewhere and no longer be available to rent the space. Bookings are final and no refunds are available. With at least 30 days notice prior to your reserved date, we will offer a one-time rescheduling.

Rules & regulations

We require a 2-night minimum stay unless otherwise specified.

While we loved taking people zipping through the trees, the past two years have refocused our business on our nationally acclaimed treehouses and new event/wedding venue. We no longer offer Canopy Tours, yet invite you to enjoy the magical experience of spending the night in a tree!

Reservations

For a treetop adventure, please click Book Now to check availability or call. Guests who have a specific date in mind and limited flexibility should book early. Full payment is required to book a reservation.

Hours of Operation

Our treehouses, Ranch House, and Event Center are available for booking 365 days a year.

Treehouse FAQs

Can children stay in the tree house?

Children must be at least 8 years old to stay in our tree houses and must be accompanied at all times by an adult. The Lofthaven is an adult-only treehouse.

Can people visit guests in tree houses?

Cypress Valley is our family ranch and home. We do NOT allow people other than those staying in treehouses to be on our property outside Canopy Tour operating hours. ONLY booked guests may enter the treehouses.

What are the check in and check out times for the treehouses?

Check begins at 4 p.m., and checkout is 11 a.m. We are unable to accommodate early arrivals or late departures. We do have a contact free check in process. You will receive details in your confirmation email after booking.

What amenities are included in the treehouse reservation?

The Nest, Yoki, and Lofthaven all have private bathrooms located on the bluffs across the ravine from your tree house. The ground structures and the tree structures are included in your treehouse reservation. There is electricity and lighting in all structures.

The Lofthaven’s ground structure houses the heated natural rock tub, kitchenette, and bathroom. We provide an electric kettle, and toaster oven, as well as cups, dishes, and flatware. There is a kitchen sink and small refrigerator. Our restroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. The tree structure contains a small table, hammock, and a king size bed. The bed is outfitted with fresh linens, and extra blankets for your comfort.

The Nest has its own separate dining room equipped with a small kitchen suspended above the creek ravine a few steps from your bedrooms. You will have a small refrigerator, sink, toaster oven, electric kettle, dishes, cups, and flatware. The Nest’s bathroom has a tub/shower combination, sink, and toilet, and there is a outside shower near the bedrooms on a vine-covered deck. The Nest has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins. There is also a super cool bean bag chair that converts into a queen size mattress to host up to two more guests on the floor in the lounge. The Nest includes a small lounge area with giant bean bag and wingback chairs for late night reading.

Juniper and Willow are twin treehouses each equipped with a queen bed, coffee station, electric kettle, water jar, and front porch sitting area. Juniper and Willow share a common rustic bathroom facility which includes four individual toilet and sink stalls, and two showers stalls. These facilities are a 2-3 minute stroll from your treehouse bedrooms.

Our small pond, pool (seasonal), and other facilities are Juniper and Willow’s backyard and available for guest use anytime.

None of our treehouses have WiFi, television, or microwaves.

Is there air conditioning in the tree houses?

The Lofthaven bedroom, while not traditionally temperature controlled, is equipped with fans and a floor a/c unit during the warmer months. The bathhouse has ceiling fans but no A/C.

Yoki’s bedroom and living space is air conditioned.

The Nest bedrooms and lounge area are air-conditioned. The kitchen and dining room have a fan, but no A/C.

Juniper and Willow have mini-split A/C units for your comfort.

The Ranch House is equipped with central heat/AC and has a wood burning stove.

Gift Certificates

GIFT CERTIFICATES: Cypress Valley Canopy Tours makes the perfect gift for an anniversary, birthday, or holiday! The recipient can redeem the certificate all year at a date and time they choose.

Zip Line Canopy Tours

While we loved taking guests through the trees, our zip lines are permanently closed. A fire in 2011 killed or damaged some of our ancient cypress trees and juvenile cypress trees are now growing up through our original zip line wires and to allow our spring-fed creek ravine to recover from the fire, we will not be able to reopen our canopy tours. Instead, we now focus on our treehouse and event business.
