Winter or summer, the Silver Valley is a great place to vacation and visiting Crystal Gold Mine takes it to a whole new level — literally! Nine hundred feet underground is the Crystal Gold Mine, in Kellogg, Idaho. This mine is one of the first hard rock mines in the Silver Valley. Just minutes from historic downtown Wallace, this preserved mine was worked during the 1880s and then shuttered and forgotten for over a hundred years. Through a series of fascinating events the mine was rediscovered in 1991 and reclaimed in 1996. Crystal Gold Mine is now operated as historical tourist attraction with loads of educational insight.
You will learn about the miners' process of back-braking labor done by hand and in candlelight. The guided underground tour explains how they drilled with "Hand Steels" using "Single Jacks" and "Double Jacks" (Hammers), how they traced the quartz vein using 1880 methods, and how they tested the vein for gold. You will be able to see beautiful stalactite crystals of smithsonite in an array of colors that coat the walls (the source of Crystal Gold Mine's name) and the wire silver that is still in the quartz vein. Best of all there is still gold to be seen and touched!

Policies
Any reservation (all or part of reservation) cancelled 24 hrs. or less prior to the scheduled day of arrival (day begins at 12 am), or the customer does not arrive for their reservation will be considered a "no show" and charged for the full reserved rate for each night for each site reserved, plus the booking fee. All nights reserved under that reservation will be forfeited and subject to re-booking.
Any reservation (all or part of reservation) canceled 24 hrs. to 48 hrs. prior to the scheduled day of arrival (day begins at 12 am) will be charged the full reserved rate for the first night plus half of the reserved rate for any remaining nights for each site in the reservation, plus the booking fee. All night's reserved under that reservation will be forfeited and subject to re-booking.
Any reservation (all or part of reservation) canceled 48 hrs or more, prior to the scheduled day of arrival (day begins at 12 am) will be charged the full reserved rate for the first night, for each site reserved, plus the booking fee. All nights reserved under that reservation will be forfeited and subject to re-booking.
No refunds/credits for early departure for any reason.
Rules & regulations
Arrival Times
3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Children are welcome with an accompanying adult.
Check in at office upon arrival.
QUIET HOURS: 10:00pm to 8:00am
GENERATOR HOURS: 8:00am - 9:00pm
SEWER SEALS: A sewer hose “donut” or “L” connector is required.
SITES: Sites are to be kept clean and tidy. Area to be presentable at all times.
No tents allowed in RV sites. Tents only allowed in tent sites (unless prior written agreement is made).
VEHICLES: 1 CAR IS PERMITTED PER SITE. If you have more than 1 car, it must be parked in the guest parking area. Speed limit is 5 MPH. No repairs or washing of vehicles is allowed in the Park. Motorcycles may be used for ingress and egress only. No ATVs allowed.
PETS: Up to 3 friendly pets are welcome and must be on a leash at all times Certain breeds not accepted due to insurance purposes (please call ahead if you have a question about your pet). No pet pens. Pets are not permitted in buildings. Owners are responsible to clean up after their pets. Noisy or aggressive pets must be removed from the Park. Please do not leave pets unattended at any time or tie pets to the Park trees or fixtures. Owners are responsible for the actions of their pets.
CHILDREN: Parents/guardians are responsible for their children at all times. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to roam the Park grounds and/or facilities unchaperoned! Please know where your children are at all times.
FIRES/BBQ/FIREWORKS: No fireworks allowed. BBQ grills are permissible.
WEAPONS: No display, discharge or possession of a gun, knife or any other weapon is allowed.
SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted inside Park buildings. Please dispose of your cigarette butts in designated receptacles and not on the Park grounds.
SKATES/SKATEBOARDS: Skating and skateboarding is not allowed in the Park.
MANAGEMENT & OWNERS ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY/ LIABILITY for injury, accidents or losses that may occur on Park grounds.
PARKING: Please do not park in any areas other than that designated for your site or guest parking.
HOOK-UPS: full hook ups include: water, sewer and 50/30 AMP services. Leaking water will not be tolerated.
CABLE SERVICE: Sorry no cable is provided.
SANITARY DUMPING: No grease, paper or solids may be deposited into the sewer. Dispose of drained and bagged garbage in a provided dumpster.
CHECK IN/OUT TIME: Check in time is 3 pm. If early check in is required please call ahead to check if your site is ready. You will be charged the full daily rate if checking in before 12pm. You will be charged $25.00 if you check in early between 12pm and 3pm. If checking in after office hours please pick up your check-in packet with your site number and make payment at the KIOSK by the front door. Check out time is 11:00am if checking out after 11am you will be charged $40.00 for checkout between 11 am - 2 pm. You will be charged the full daily rate if checking out between 2 pm - 3 pm. Space must be vacated no later than 3 pm for the next guest.

SITE LOCATION: We will do our best to accommodate special requests for stays in a specific site, however we can not guarantee a specific site.
OVERSIZE/JUMBO RVs: If your RV is 37' or larger, or has 2 or more A/Cs or high power consuming appliances you may be subject to an additional electrical surcharge ($10/night). Please call the office to check that we can accommodate you at this time. RVs over 32' need to reserve a 30/50 amp site and are not allowed in a partial or 30 amp site
All guests must register upon arrival. Help us by understanding and complying to our rules. Failure to comply with above rules may result in immediate eviction! No refunds. Guests are responsible for any/all damage incurred by themselves or their visitors!
