Campit Outdoor Resort Saugatuck is a resort experience for all people identifying with the LGBTQ+ communities, their friends and allies. We are all affirming, with a reputation as a very friendly, welcoming and safe place to relax and play. Campit’s beautifully wooded 33-acre property is located just 10 minutes from Saugatuck and Douglas, the Midwest’s most popular LGBTQ+ vacation destination and its beautiful Lake Michigan beaches. In addition to camping for both tenters and RV’ers, Campit offers a number of lodging choices including Log Cabin rentals, a five-bedroom Bunkhouse B&B, and Vintage Trailers. Weekly scheduled events and activities, a large, heated pool, clubhouse, and a variety of other amenities provide many choices for outdoor recreation and meeting great people.
Campit is a membership resort. All guests and visitors must have a valid current year membership to use the resort. New members are always welcome. To get your Campit Membership, bring a valid drivers license or government ID with you when you arrive at Campit. Following is a description of the various levels of Campit membership.

Reservations are non-cancellable and non-refundable unless you are ill or have Covid related issues. Cancelling without rescheduling will result in your card being charged the full amount of the reservation.
Rules & regulations
RESERVATION POLICY DETAILS (Our Not-So-Fine Print)
Campit is a 21-and-over resort Friday-Sunday (and Thursday for Holiday Weekends, including Christmas In July and Mardi Gras).
Reservation Changes:
Non-Holiday: Reservations can be changed up to the day before your scheduled arrival by emailing us.
Holiday Reservations: Changes to your holiday reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance of your scheduled arrival date. Holiday Reservations include Memorial Day, July 4th, Christmas in July, Mardi Gras, and Labor Day.
Reservation No-Shows: Please contact us prior to your scheduled arrival date if you need to cancel or reschedule your reservations. No refund or rescheduling is available for no-shows.
Site Requests: Site assignments are subject to change prior to check in. Specific site assignments are guaranteed by paying the Site Lock Fee at the time of booking.
Check in time at Campit is 3:00 pm EST. You're welcome to arrive any time after 11:00 am EST on your arrival date, however your site or lodgings may not be available until check in time. Please check-in as soon as you arrive at Campit.
If your travel schedule brings you to our gates after 8 pm EST weekdays or 2 am EST on Friday and Saturday, please let us know in advance so we can make special arrangements for you by emailing us.
Check out time is 12:00 pm EST. After checking out, you are invited to stay and enjoy the Campit facilities until 6:00 pm EST.
All charges, including membership fees, must be paid in full prior to checking in,. You and your guests will not be permitted to set up camp or receive keys until all fees are paid.
Firewood: All firewood must be purchased at Campit or be a certified pre-packaged and labeled firewood product purchased within 10 miles of Campit.
GOLF CART RENTAL DETAILS:
Golf Cart Rental Requirements:
Payment for rental period is due in full at the time of rental.
No rentals without a valid credit card on file. A $300 security deposit may be applied to your credit card.
Valid driver's license must be presented at the time of rental.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Golf Cart Rental Terms:
Rental period begins at 3:00 pm EST on the first day of rental term.
Rental golf carts must be returned by 12:00 pm EST on scheduled return day. A late fee of $15.00 will be added for each hour past the agreed-upon date and time for return.
Golf cart rentals are charged a 6% MI tax.
Golf Cart Rules for Use:
Golf carts in use between sunset and sunrise must be operated with headlights on when in motion.
Golf carts are not permitted to be driven during quiet hours (11pm - 8am) unless returning to/traveling from a sponsored Campit event.
Golf cart maximum occupancy is 4 persons.
No horseplay, racing, or any other misuse will be tolerated.
Golf carts may only be driven on designated roadways. No driving is allowed through campsites or any restricted areas, including all footpaths.
Golf carts are not to be taken off Campit property, including driving on 118th Avenue - either on it, along it, or to cross the road. Failure to observe will result in a $500 penalty and loss of golf cart privileges.
Please report any malfunction and/or damage to management immediately.
Anyone found violating these rules will forfeit golf cart rental privileges immediately and permanently.
These rules apply to anyone using the golf cart, whether with the lessee's permission or not. All persons named on the rental agreement assume full responsibility for any and all costs arising from the use of golf cart.
