Policies
RV & Tent Site Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance in order to refund any charges that you may have paid. If you are a no-show on the date of, or cancel less than 48 hours of your reservation arrival date no refund will be given. Booking fee is non-refundable. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please call us at 830-367-5566 or email us at info@bytheriver.com prior to 48 hours from the date of your reservation. Make sure you receive a confirmation of your cancellation from us. Rescheduling an RV or tent site may be possible however there will be a fee for rescheduling within the 48 hours prior to your original arrival date.
Cabin rental cancellations more than 14 days of scheduled arrival date must pay a cancellation fee of $50. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival date will forfeit the deposit. We do not reschedule cabin reservations within the 14 days prior to arrival date. No cancellations or refunds due to inclement weather.
Payments and Refunds:
Payment for your stay is made at check-in. By The River accepts MasterCard, Visa, Cash or Check. By The River does not refund for unused nights in the event you choose to leave before your reserved stay is over.
Rules and Regulations:
1. RV/Cabin/Tent: Check-Out 11:00am / Check-In 3:00pm: Late departure/check-out may be arranged with the office for an
additional fee of $10.00 per hour, extending your check-out time to 4:00pm the day of your scheduled departure. If you would like to
extend your stay, please check with the office as early as possible on the day of your departure to see if your site is available for
extension.
2. Payments and Refunds: Full payment for your stay is due at time of booking. By The River does not refund for unused nights in the
event you choose to leave before your reserved stay is over.
3. Cancellations: RV/Cabin & Tent Site Cancellations will be charged a $35.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 30 days prior
to arrival will forfeit 50% of the reservation total. If you are a no show, no refund will be given. A reservation change fee of $10.00 will be
applied along with rate changes to any reservation date changes.
4. Golf carts permitted. Proof of current liability insurance is required to bring a golf cart into the campground. You must be 16 or older
and have a current driver's license to operate personal carts. You must be 21 or older to rent/operate a By the River rental golf cart. Speed
limit for all golf carts is 5mph. Golf carts must stay on roads. We do not allow the operation of OHV vehicles in the park.
5. SPEED LIMIT 10 MPH or less for vehicles on all campground roads. Please only drive on gravel roads. Do not drive around speed
bumps. Do not drive in grassy areas. This is strictly enforced.
6. QUIET HOURS ARE 10pm to 8am. No one shall cause any disturbance nor permit anything to be done that will interfere with the
rights of other campers.
7. Pets must be always controlled by a leash. Pets can never be left unattended and must be cleaned up after. Pets are not allowed
in the cabins. Please do not allow pets to chase our wildlife.
8. Open campfires will be permitted only at designated campsite grills or fire rings and shall be under constant surveillance. Campfires
and grills are not to be left unattended by the camper. Please do not move fire rings. If we are under a Fire Ban, PLEASE do not have a fire
unless it is a gas fire pit that can be turned off.
9. All garbage needs to be disposed of in designated dumpsters. No dumping of household items, such as mattresses, couches,
appliances, etc...
10. A $25.00 fee will be assessed to the card on file if your site is not left clean.
11. No smoking allowed in any campground facilities. Dispose of cigarette butts in ashtrays. DO NOT flick cigarette butts on the ground.
12. NO LIFEGUARD on duty at the swimming pool or on the river. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 16, the swimming
pool is for campers and registered guests only. Pool hours are 9:00am – 9:00pm and are subject to change.
13. One vehicle is allowed per RV site. Do not park on grass in RV area. Please do not park in other sites. Additional vehicles and tow
trailers are allowed for an additional fee and must be stored in the overflow parking.
14. Please help save our grass: Do not place mats, carpets, or rugs on grass.
15. Owners and management are not liable for any lost or stolen articles or any personal injury and damage for any cause. Guests agree
that the use of all the facilities is at their own risk
