Burning Rock Off Road Park is the perfect alternative to your everyday beaten path. The park, located just 3.5 miles from the town of Sophia, is situated on 10,000 acres and offers over 100 miles of trails ranging from the “family friendly” Tams Loop to the “winch recommended, enter at your own risk” favorite – The Amazon. There are trails for every type of bike, atv, utv or Jeep and every type of rider from novice to pro.

The 70 acre trailhead is only 15 minutes from Beckley and features a general store, pavilion, campground, rustic cabins, RV hookups, Glamp and Platform tents, showers, restroom facilities and ATV Wash Rack.

Perfect for larger groups! Our Bunk House is perfect for the group that’s ready for ATV, dirtbike, SxS, Jeep, or 4 x 4 riding and relaxing. Sleeps up to 9. Our cabins are kept clean and have everything you’d need to keep to enjoy your vacation to Burning Rock. With a kitchenette and full bathroom you’ll have what you need to stay in comfort. Rustic Cabin

Ride the trails right from your cabin at the trailhead! There are 4 rustic rental cabins at the Burning Rock Park property. After all, with more than 8000 acres, we’ve got the space. Our bunkhouse-style cabins are perfect for the group that’s ready for ATV, dirtbike, SxS, Jeep, or 4×4 riding and relaxing. Sleeps up to 5. Our cabins are kept clean and have everything you’d need to keep to enjoy your vacation to Burning Rock. With a kitchenette and full bathroom, you’ll have what you need to stay in comfort. Each cabin varies slightly (furniture placement, interior layout, etc), Full sized bed w/twin bunk, Double twin bunk bed, Bath with shower, Kitchenette with mini-refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee pot, TV (no cable, sorry) & Blu Ray player, Heating / AC unit, Outdoor fire ring, Front porch with rocking chair, Linens Available upon request

Platform Tent

The Platform Tent at Burning Rock. Our platform tents are wall tents situated on a wooden platform to keep you up off the ground. The tent has room for an air mattress or cots to accommodate groups of 6-10. Ideal for those times you just don’t feel like setting up camp or having to crawl around in a tent. Plenty of space for you to spread out, Easy access to Burning Rock trails, Picnic table at each site, Fire ring at each site, Close to clean bathhouse with hot showers, General Store with camping supplies and firewood.

Glamping

Glamping on your ATV/Dirtbike Vacation! A new addition to the Burning Rock lodging inventory, the Glamp site offers a rustic feel with some plush amenities. While ultimately the glamp is a wall tent up on a platform it is nicely furnished with a full bed, nightstand, and can easily fit an additional cot. The Glamp has a full bathroom equipped with a shower stall, toilet, and sink as well. You’ll also find your own refrigerator and coffee pot. The large covered porch offers a great place to sit and relax and talk about the day of riding. Sleeps 3 (1 Full Bed, 1 cot available upon request), Includes full bathroom, refrigerator, coffee pot, power, covered porch, picnic table, firepit, furnished with linens.

Policies
Park Policy

All cancellations outside 30 days from the start of the reservation will be refunded the deposit less a $20 processing fee.

All cancellations inside 30 days from the start of the reservation will forfeit the deposit.

Any cancellations made within 7 days of arrival risks forfeiture of the entire amount of the reservation.

All reservations are allowed one date change as long as the change in date is requested at least one week prior to arrival and the new date falls within the same calendar year. Last minute (within 7 days of arrival) date changes are treated just like a cancellation and a new deposit will be required.

Rules & Regulations

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

Reserving Guest must be 21 years or older.

Site/Cabin requests cannot be guaranteed. We reserve the right to move you to a different site/cabin.

Dogs are not to be left unattended in cabins (pet friendly cabins are available upon request), on porches, or outside at anytime and must be on a leash and attended by an owner when outside of cabin.

Late check in begins after 5:00 PM. Late check ins should contact us for special arrangements. Otherwise a key (unless camping) and parking passes will be left in the black box to the left of the front door of the general store.

All cabins are non-smoking and there is a $100 charge for smoking inside the cabins.

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

An excessive cleaning fee of $25 will be charged if the cabin takes longer than 1 hour to clean after checkout or if the grounds around the cabin have to be patrolled for trash, cans, bottles, cigarette butts, discarded food, or pet waste.

No fireworks and no firearms are allowed.

All RV holding tanks must be empty (including all winterizing and odor controlling fluids) before arrival at the site.
