It features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also be able to access modern bathhouses for showers and restrooms at the park but these facilities are some distance from the tent.Forest Glade E, F, & H: Located approximately 2 miles from the park entrance and is tucked into the woods. The shaded hike-in site is located approximately less than 100 ft from where you park and is within walking distance of Lookout Point. It features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also be able to access modern bathhouses for showers and restrooms at the park.Located an hour and 20 minutes south of Shreveport, North Toledo Bend State Park welcomes anglers and families looking to enjoy time on the water. Situated in rolling pine forests that border Toledo Bend Reservoir, this park features boat rentals, a boat launch and a fish cleaning station. Organizations associated with the reservoir host numerous freshwater fishing competitions at this location.The park also features a swimming pool that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day although the pool operates on a modified schedule after August 1 please check the park website for exact hours of operation.There are two trails to explore in this park: the 1.5-mile Dogwood nature loop and a four-mile hiking/biking trail that winds through the forest.

This campsite sits on a small peninsula that offers phenomenal fishing, lake beaches, hiking, and of course camping! The site is hike in but its about a 0.25 mile hike from the parking lot next to the main beach. Amenities such as a comfort station, bathroom, and showers are located about 0.4 miles from the parking lot to the campsite. You can drive to them, or hike if your feeling up to it. The camp is a perfect get away for families, couples, or groups of friends trying to get involved with nature. This site particular is one of the best on Hippie Point for awesome beach access, fishing, and falling asleep to the sounds of crashing waves.

All this is on our 240 acre property featuring woodlands, historic grounds and our farm-to-market vegetable / flower gardens. Walk along the creek to rock hound , look for fossils/arrow heads or just enjoy. In our area there is a country store, historical sites like ancient Caddo Ceremonial mound, Sequoyah's Home (creator of the Cherokee Syllabary), fishing, canoeing/kayaking, wildlife and birdwatching. If you have a Truck, SUV or AWD vehicle you can drive to the site on our forestry road (there are two-2-access points on the property) or park in our graveled parking area and hike up to the site where your getaway begins.

Established in 1876 as a railroad depot, Avinger Station operated as such until the mid 20th century. After being put out to pasture, the depot was rescued from oblivion as a barn and brought back to Avinger in 1998. It was moved to a more prominent location near its original site in June of 2021 after pondering how the depot might serve the community once again.
