Each site can accommodate up to 10 campers comfortably and 2 cars. There is over flow parking up by the entrance to the meadow and camp sites off of the dirt road. Lots of wild life including birds, great blue heron, deer, fox, rabbits, and so much more! There is direct access to hiking, biking trails and horseback riding trails. Camp sites are 3 miles off of the power grid in the Sierra Mountains, located in a secluded area on private property, backed up to the Stanislaus National Forest. Unfortunately burning has been suspended in our area for the summer but we do offer tall out door patio heaters that provide for heat in the cool evenings and give a nice ambiance to your camping experience. The heaters are available during check out or you are welcome to bring your own. Outside of the tent; fire pit, lanterns, bbq, water, one extension cord to the fire pit area, and a porta-potty and hand washing station in the parking area. We are centrally located between Monterey and Santa Cruz, we are near a small plane airport but they tend to quiet down at sunset.

Seclusion and tranquility surround you yet this site is only 10 minutes to town and 12 minutes to Capitola Beach! Bring your bikes, boards, and fishing gear. Hop to town for dinner or get takeout sushi and have a drink at your camp. Parking is a short walk to the site, less than a few hundred feet! We have six total signature sites on our property. Sites E and F are at the top of the hill with 180 degree ocean views. Please note there is a gate code required, contact the host upon receiving your confirmation. Also note the county has a ban on open fires, so the firepit is not able to be used unless approved by our county. Please take garbage out with you or you will be charged a fee!!

Sometimes above the fog and clouds and some times in the thick of it! You will be surrounded by Bay(Myrtle), Black Oak, Madrone, Big Leaf Maple and Douglas Fir trees. Sunrise Point is where Gia-Fu Feng and Jane English translated the LAO TSU, TAO TE CHING between 1968-72. An older contemporary of Confucius. The site is one of the originating points for the San Lorenzo river as a very slight trickle during the heavy rains. There is a private road and a few short trails to walk on with benches to sit and take in the beauty of the sights and sounds.

NorCal Red Dog Ridge Base Camp by Tentrr

Tentrr is a trusted partner of BookOutdoors.The camp site is located, between Grass Valley and Colfax, on 40 private acres that shares a 1200 ft boundary with 40 acres of public land managed by BLM. It is in a mixed wild land/rural area of land on a knoll top terrace with East and Southeast exposure overlooking the Red Dog crossing in Greenhorn Canyon, and the Tahoe National Forest beyond. There are level pads for extra tents and vehicles and RV camping in addition to the Signature Tentrr Tent platform setup and amenities. A metal fire/grill pit, table, a few chairs and limited access to an outhouse with a flush toilet connected to a residential septic system. There are good sunrise views from camp, and decent sunset views looking west a short, 1/4 mile hike to another spot on the property. Camp is located within the transition zone forest of Black Oaks, mixed conifers, manzanita and other common Sierra foothill vegetation. Camp is 20 minutes from downtown Nevada City or Grass Valley, 30 minutes to Colfax, 1 hour to Sacramento, 2 hours to Reno, and 3 hours to San Francisco.

Tentrr is a trusted partner of BookOutdoors.This is 2.5 acres of protected Joshua Tree lands in the Antelope Valley north of LA, between the snowy Tehachapi Mountains, and the rolling green foothills of the also-snowy San Gabriel Mountains. My first time out there I saw BOTH ENDS of a rainbow in front of the snowy Tehachapis!! Super dark skies, and a million stars at night. It feels like the wild west out here. Think long dirt roads, tumbleweeds, bones, and maybe some old bullet shells (there's no shooting allowed on the property anymore). The property itself is along a "road" called Avenue C, but I'd be shocked if you encountered anyone driving along there. Except possibly another group of campers. This land used to be the domain of the Ketanemuk tribe, which I think means People From The East. In the summer they would go up and hunt and get pine nuts in the Tehachapi Mountains, and acorns from the oak trees in the San Gabriels. About a 20 minute drive from the town of Neenach (pronounced Nee-nack), where there's a general store and a cafe. They make a great breakfast burrito. A few minutes from the State Poppy Reserve, which blooms in the spring with miles of California poppies. If you have a larger group or event in mind, get in touch! Drive right up to this fun-filled, family-friendly campsite, easily accessible by motorhome, travel trailer, cars and SUVs alike. This site features two seasonal streams that cross on the property, as well as bushes full of ripe blackberries on the back 20 - if you catch them at the right time, help yourself. You'll enjoy hearing the birds echoing through the trees and could easily see our Goats, Donkey and Llamas. Dogs on leash only. We provide water, and electricity. One 8 ft round tree teepee. You bring the bedding/ sleeping bags.We raise 4H and FFA show and market goats, llamas, and a donkey, all of whom are very friendly! You'll also see our chickens, ducks, peacocks, and guinea hens. Rock pilings are on the island between the two seasonal streams that cross our land on the back 20. Gold panning, hiking and creek walking is available on the property. Campers are welcome to stargaze in the field, create scavenger hunts for the kids, or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility.Trank Family Farm is 30 minutes from Lake Oroville, 20 minutes from Oroville Wildlife Area and the Feather River - great for kayaking, swimming, and fishing! Be sure to check out the trails and seasonal waterfalls at Table Mountain, 35 minutes away. There are 2 Indian Casinos & Hotels in Oroville, as well as 2 golf ranges - and all with in 20 minutes of the camp site. The college town of Chico is about 30 minutes outside of Oroville. If you want to explore farther, Butte Mountain range and the city of Paradise, CA is 45 minutes away. We can't wait for you to come visit!
