Big Bear RV Park & CampgroundBig Bear RV Park is family owned and operated. Our clean and friendly campground has much to offer the Alaskan traveler. Centrally located in the heart of the Mat-Su Valley just a few miles from both the cities of Palmer and Wasilla (and only 37 miles from Anchorage). We provide a great location to set up and set out on day trips to explore the surrounding areas. Our park is a destination-must for visitors and locals who wish to get out whether you’re RV or tent camping or needing a cabin getaway.Our park has a total of 47 RV sites, 6 cabins and 6 tent sites. Showers, WiFi, potable water and dump station are included with those staying. Tengo Internet is our WiFi provider. Potable water throughout the park for guests choosing electric only sites and our dump station is centrally located. Non camping customers can fill up with water and dump for a fee.We have a variety of site types to choose from; pull-thru’s to back ins, 50/30 amp at Deluxe sites to 30 amp only sites, sites from 40′ to 75′ long and Big Rig friendly. We provide a fire ring and picnic table at each site and a playground centrally located. We have a large laundry room with a tv, tables and chairs, games, book and video exchange as well as an ironing board and iron.

This family owned and operated RV park has 35 RV sites all with full hookups and can accommodate big rigs up to 60 feet long with slide-outs (50 amp service available). If you are traveling with friends they can stay in our fully equipped 4 person cottage with kitchen BBQ, freezer and washroom.

We will be adhering to all Federal, State and City mandates due to the Coronavirus, and require our guests do the same. All of our RV sites are full hook up sites, and we are asking guests to use their own restrooms and showers when possible to keep the shower facilities open for our glamping and tent area guests. All Shower facilities, will be closed during the night, to sanitize. Restrooms will be available during the night for our glamping and tenting guests. We will be keeping up to date on all safety recommendations coming from our State and City officials, to provide you with a safe, fun place to camp. Our cancelation policy is 7 days prior to arrival for full/partial refund. Please note this is under review and will update if changes are made. A 10% cancellation fee will be applied to all cancellations. We encourage you to book early as our prices are based on occupancy for each site type. As site types fill up prices go up $10.00 per night. So book and pay early for the best rates. Please remember, if edits are made to an existing reservation, it may place you in the higher rate. Please phone us if you have any questions. All reservations will have a $3.50 non refundable reservation fee. If you are trying to book in May, we are very weather dependent that month. Our opening date changes as the snow melts away. Some years we are open as early as April, some years late May. We rely on mother nature so bare with us.
